1958 Ford Other C600 COE TILT CUSTOM CAB Additional Info:

ON AUCTION IS MY RETIRED VINEYARD TRUCK AND ON A FARM REGISTRATION. CALIFORNIA TRUCK IN GREAT OVERALL CONDITION. THE PLATE TAG EXPIRES ON DECEMBER 31 AND IF NOT USED ON THE ROAD AFTER THATIT CAN REMAIN UNREGISTERED UNTIL PUT TO USE AGAIN. SAVE MONEY IF NOT IN USE. OR IT CAN BE FULL TIME. NO NONOP REQUIRED TO DO THIS.

SECOND OWNER OBTAINED IT FROM HIS GRANDFATHER'S VINYARD AND HAD IT PAINTED, DONOR MOTOR FROM A1970 FORD 352 BLOCK. HE DID THE HEADS BEFORE INSTALLING AND REBUILT THE CARB. HAD THE TRUCK PAINTED INSIDE AND OUT.

HE DROVE IT TO MARKET WITH GRAPES ONLY AND THAT WAS ABOUT 25O MILES A YEAR. LOW MILES TRUCK. 31K ON THE ODOM BUT THE CABLE IS NOW BROKEN AND IT HAS A FEW HUNDRED MORE THAN SHOWN. I HAVE A NEW CABLE AND WILL TRY AND HAVE IT IN BEFORE SALE. GVWR IS 18000 AND THE RIG IS ABOUT 8K. 8 PLUS TON CARGO.

THE SEATIN THE PHOTO IS BEFORE I REMOVED THE SADDLEMAN SEAT COVER AND FOUND THE ORGINAL ONE WITH A COUPLE OF MINOR TEARS THE WORST ABOUT 2 INCHES AND 3 MORE ABOUT 1/2 INCH LONG. CLEANED UP REALLY NICE. WILL GET PICS AND SEND THEM TO YOU, CANNOT PUT MORE ON THIS LISTING.

I HAVE CLEANED, FIXED AND PAINTED AS I FOUND NEEDED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

1. PRESSURE WASHED ENTIRE TRUCK 3 TIMES.

2. PAINTED THE INNER FRAMES AND OTHERS PLACES THAT NEEDED SAME. TOUCHED UP THE CAB PAINT.

3. REPLACED THE REAR BRAKE SHOES, ALL FOUR RUBBER LINES AT EACH WHEEL AND 2 HARD LINES.

4. REPLACED THE MASTER CYLENDER AND THE HYDROVAC.

5. NEW ALTINATOR.

6. NEW CLUTCH PLATE WITH THE NEW STYLE 4 BLADE PLATE. NEW PILOT BEARING AND THROWOUT BEARING. DRAINED THE TRANS AND FILLED WITH NEW LUBE.

7. NEW FUEL PUMP AND SENDING UNIT. NEW CHROME WEST COAST STYLE MIRRORS, CHROME VALVE COVERS AND AIR CLEANER. RUBBER GASKESTS.

9. NEW COIL.

10. HAD THE RADIATOR INSPECTED, FLUSHED AND TESTED.

11. INSTALLED A BATTERY DOCTOR BATTERY VOLTAGE SENSOR TO MAINTAIN BOTH BATTERYS. TRUCK CAME TO ME WITHA REAL GOOD DEEP CYCLE BATTERY AND I INSTALLED AN OPTIMA RED TOP FOR THE WENCH.

12. SHORTENED THE MAIN FRAME ABOUT 3 FEET TO ALLOW FOR LOWER DROP OF BED FOR LOADING EASE. INSTALLED A NEW PIERCE HYDRALIC LIFT, 7,000 LBS. RATING WITH BOTH SWITCH AND REMOTE CONTROLS. NEW SIDE BOX FOR THE PUMP ETC. 50 AMP CIRCUIT BRAKER.

13. INSTALLED THE SECOND BATTERY WITH A SHUT OFF CONTROL SWITCH FOR THE NEW WENCH, 7K, WITH BOTH CABLE AND REMOTE CONTROLS.

14. INSTALLED A SOLAR CHARGER TO KEEP THE SECOND WENCH BATTERY AT FULL WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT RUNNING. LOTS OF NEW WIRING.

15. NEW AIR COMPRESSOR WITH 1.5 GALLON TANK AND AIR HORNS.

16. LIGHTS HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO LED ONES. ALL BUT THE SIDE OLD SCHOOL METAL CASED BED SIDE MARKER LIGHTS AND THE DASH LIGHTS. HEADLIGHTS ARE STILL OLD SCHOOL ALSO.

17. REPLACED THE PLYWOOD DECK WITH BLACK OAK 2 X 12 X 16 FEET PLANKS. CLEAR COATED TWICE. FABRICATED THE LOCKABLE STORAGE BOX USING THE BLACK OAK. THIS ALSO LOCKS IN THE 2 JERRY CANS WHEN IT IS DOWN AND LOCKED. CANS ARE NEW AND NOT YET USED.

18. FABRICATED THE LOADING RAMPS STORAGE AREA IN THE REAR WITH A LOCKING DOOR. RAMPS ARE ALUMINUM 7 FOOT 7,000 LBS., NEW.

FOR THE MOST PART THIS TRUCK IS AND RUNS AS IT SHOULD. RUBBER AROUND THE WING WINDOWS HAS TURNS A BIT HARD AND CANNOT CLOSE THEM FULLY AT THIS TIME. NEEDS RUBBER REPLACED. THIS LAST WINTER IT DID NOT GET WET INSIDE WITH HEAVY RAINS. THERE ARE SMALL DETAILS SOMEONE COULD UP DATE AND/OR FIX. DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW HAD SOME WIPER DAMAGE AND SOMEONE BUFFED THEM OUT AND OVER HEATED IT A LITTLE CAUSING SOME DISTORTION IN THE SIDE GLASS. NOT IN THE FORWARD VISION AREA. DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD AS IT SHOULD AND IS VERY QUIET INSIDE ON THE FREEWAYS. THE LAST TRIP WAS 150 MILES, 2 LANE MOUNTAINS ROADS AND I-5 FREEWAY. NO ISSUES. GOOD USABLE TRUCK. HAS LESS THAN NORMAL DINGS AND SMALL ISSUES. LIKE DOOR LATCH ADJUSTMENT, ETC. HEATER CORE IS HOLDING WATER BUT THE SHUT OFF VALVE ON THE BLOCK IS FROZE. I HAVE AN OLD SCHOOL GOOD ONE LIKE IT BUT HAVE NOT PUT IT IN YET, GOES WITH THE TRUCK.

I FOUND THREE SMALL DIME SIZED BUBBLES IN THE PAINT ON DRIVERS REAR CAB. CLEANED IT UP AND MADE A GOOD REPAIR THEN REPAINTED THAT AREA AND SOME OTHERS THAT NEEDED TOUCHED UP. CAN YOU BELIVE I FOUND A GOOD GRADE OF RATTLE CAN PAINT, APPLE RED, THAT IS ALMOST PERFECT MATCH. :) I SEE NO OTHER RUST ISSUES NOR PATCHES.

NEW REAR BRAKES WILL NEED ANOTHER ADJUSTMENT AND THE FRONT ONES WERE INSPECTED AND FOUND TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION FOR SOME MORE MILES.

PARTS FOR THESE TRUCKS ARE JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE. THE CAB STYLE WAS USED INTO THE 80's. I HAVE THE FOLLOWING, 2 WHEELS AND TIRES, A LARGER RADIATOR AND SHROUD THAT CAN BE FIT IN THIS IF NEEDED, SEAT IN GOOD CONDITION, STAINLESS FRONT WINDOW TRIM LIKE ON THIS ONE, DELUX HEATER FROM A 71 THAT HAS 2 FANS DEFROST AND HEATER AND FULL CONTROLS ON ORIG. MOUNTION PLATE.

PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH QUESTIONS, ETC. BEFORE BIDDING. I HAVE THIS UNIT FOR SALE LOCAL AND MAY END THE AUCTION IF NEEDED FOR ANY REASON. I ALSO RETAIN THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY BIDS THAT I FEEL NOT UP TO THE TASK. I HAVE MANY MORE PHOTOS AND WILL TAKE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL SEAT WITH OUT THE SADDLEMAN COVER. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ASK FOR ANY PHOTOS YOU NEED.

THE HOTROD IN THIS AS IS FOR SALE LOCAL AND NOT PART OF THIS SALE. NICE CAR, STREET LEGAL 1600 POUNDS OF PURE COBRA 440 HP HOOKED TO A PORSCHE 914 TRANS IRS. BUILT IN THE LATE 60'S AND TITLED IN 1970. HAS BEEN A TOTAL SHOW CAR UNTIL THE LAST 4 OR 5 YEARS. ONLY 1300 MILES ON IT TODAY. CAN YOU SAY "FAST AND CRAZY AS HECK :) ???? I LIKE FAST AND OR UNUSUAL TOYS.... OMG.... YES
