1994 Ford Ranger Additional Info:

This is a unique build by an old school professional body man from San Diego, being sold by the dealer who recently acquired the truck from the builder's family after he passed away.

There must have been hundreds of hours spent creating this truck. The build started out as a low mileage salvaged titled 1994 Ford Ranger that has been updated using a low mileage 1995 5.0 Mustang as a donor. The body was sectioned 3 1/2 inches, the rear fenders are tubbed and the doors were converted to suicide style. A fiberglass bed cover was installed. The 1995 Mustang's 5.0 engine, automatic transmission, rear end, dash, seats and electronics were installed. The front suspension is from a Pinto with a widened steering rack. There is a list of parts and changes done that the builder wrote that will be provided.

Everything was done to a very high standard. The paint and body are outstanding with gaps, fit and finish as good as it gets. The attention to detail is truly amazing. Every small detail was thought out and it shows. It looks as if Ford made it this way.

The headlamp covers as pictured come off easily as they are for show only. There is a set of clear covers included. The mold that was used to create the covers is included also. This truck was completed in 1999 and has been driven very little since and always garaged. The current mileage is less than 37,000 miles and is believed to be correct for the Mustang's components.

The powertrain conversion is California Bureau of Automotive Repair approved and smog legal in California with the label affixed to the driver's door post. The air conditioning does not hold a charge and the seller was told that there is a leak, possibly in the evaporator area. Although the dash and steering wheel are from the dual airbag equipped donor Mustang, the airbag system is non functional, as '94 Ford Rangers were not equipped with airbags. The truck runs and drives as one would expect given the high quality and attention to detail used. It is quiet and smooth like a new vehicle.
