1968 Ford Mustang GT Additional Info:
For sale is a beautiful, fully restored 1968 Mustang GT Convertible.
This vehicle was meticulously restored by Laurel Mountain Mustang and no expense was spared in the process; I have over 40 pages of detailed sales receipts which total over $85,000 worth of work.It recently passed inspection and the inspection report is included in the pictures. I also have a very recent appraisal on hand.
Although the engine is not original, it does have a blazingly fast automatic 390 cubic inch V8 Ford StreetPerformance Engine with only 1,695 miles onthe transmission due togauge change.Evanuik Performance, who is hands-down the best engine builder in the Pittsburgh area, installed it.
The vehicle runs very nicely and is certainly a head-turner. Overall, the GT body is in excellent condition, including the chrome and black power soft top. Paint is in excellent condition. The black vinyl interior isbeautiful. As depicted in the photos, the undercarriage of the vehicle is in excellent condition and has minimal rust. This vehicle has always been garage-kept and was rarely driven.
There are only two very minor things that could be repaired at your discretion: a new sending unit for the power steering could be ordered since the current one slowly leaks transmission fluid and the fuel gauge could be replaced since it always reads as being 3/4 full and does not register gasoline levels. Again, these are very minor things and to be expected with a car of this age; to repair both is would only be a couple hundred dollars. Everything else on this Mustang is in phenomenal condition.
In all, this is an excellent example of a slightly modified 1968 Mustang GT Convertible and can be a wonderful investment for years to come.
