1967 Ford Mustang Deluxe Interior Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 1967 Mustang Fastback Shelby Clone. It is 100% rust free and straight. The only body filler on it is what you see in the pictures, where the roof seams are and where I put a lower patch on the rear of the quarters. All of the hard work has been done to the body of this car, including replacing the lower cowl tunnels that always rust out, and new floor pans. I welded in solid frame rail connectors made by Spin Tech. The are molded to fit the contour of the floor pan and I molded in the ends to the frame rails to appear that it was made this way originally. The transmission tunnel brace has been modified to accommodate larger transmissions. I replaced the rear outer wheelhouse panels, cut off the pinch weld to the quarters to weld them solid along the opening. This allows for a little more tire clearance. I replaced the seat bases with a one piece that ties the rockers together for more stability. The rear fender aprons have been replaced, and new front aprons and radiator support are clamped in place, I hadn't decided yet whether to put new shock towers in or go with filler plates for a modular engine. All frame rails are original rust free, it has the original rust free quarters, new roof skin due to surface rust. Sandblasting the roof skin would have ruined it anyway, so a new one was welded on. The rest of the car and all sheet metal was blasted and epoxy primed. It has an NOS right fender, a rust free and damage free original left fender, rust free original right door with no dents in the interior grained portion, and an aftermarket left door. The door and roof are the only aftermarket sheet metal on the car. Included is all the Shelby Fiberglass from Tony Branda. The nose, hood, scoops, trunk lid and quarter extensions. The dash and all dash components were stripped, primed, and painted with Sikkens paint and Sikkens semi-gloss clear. There are two sets of interiors that go with the car, one being a deluxe interior. The seats are not in bad shape, but of course would need to be recovered to look new. The deluxe door panels and seatbacks are in great shape, and there is a great condition center console and upper console. There are two sets of complete moldings for the whole car that are dent and bend free. I also have the original doors with all components still in them. This was a complete car when I got it, so everything including all clips to mount the interior moldings are there. The fold down rear seat and trap door are all complete, and all of the trim around the trap door parts is complete. I have everything for the dash to put factory air conditioning vents in. The outer vents and control are new and installed, the center vent is NOS as they are impossible to find not pitted and are fairly rare, I have the elbows and the center duct. The instrument cluster, glove box trim, and all brushed aluminum trim on the dash is new. Underneath in the rear is a Chris Alston Chassisworks Total Control G-Bar Canted 4 Link set up with adjustable geometry. It has tubular control arms, two way adjustable coil overs, adjustable anti-sway bar, a Currie 9 inch rear housing, and Currie 31 Spline axles. There is a little over $4000 sitting there, but still needs a center section. There is also an NOS Shelby GT 500 fuel door and cap. Other items include the Shelby taillight panel, taillight housings, new aluminum taillight trim bezels, and the mounting panles which have been powdercoated black. One of the sets of interior quarter panel trim panels is out of a true Shelby GT500 and already has the notches cut out for a roll bar should you choose to install one. I would love to complete this project but don't have the time, or anywhere to actually work on it. A lot of time and money has been spent obviously, and will make a world class car finished correctly. There is no title available, I do have the apron that came off of it with the VIN number on it. Feel free to ask any questions, or contact me to come see the car. It is for sale locally, as well, until the reserve is met. I can get pictures of the interior and all moldings if needed, they are all in a storage unit. The car will not leave until any funds besides cash have cleared. $1000 deposit due immediately, thanks.
