1965 Ford Mustang. Factory C code car. 90k Original miles. Factory A/C which was recently fully serviced and blows ice cold. Several years have gone into the restoration and preservation of this car. Low miles on the car since its restoration. This car is as original as you will every find... Completely original and numbers matching low mile survivor. Numbers matching 289 2V motor, C-4 automatic transmission, 280:1 rear end, ect. The original owner owned this Mustang from 1965 to 2016. Over $21000 dollars in receipts included with the car. I also have all receipts and records dating back to the late 70's (over 100 pages).
This car was purchased by the original owner on May 13, 1965 from Tipton Ford inHouston, Texas. This car has been lovingly driven and cared for by the same family since it waspurchased new in 1965. The Mustang was always garaged, pampered, and well-maintained. The original owner drove her Mustang all the up to she was 80 years old until she couldn't continue to drive dueto failing eyesight. This is a very rare opportunity to own a true classic, "little old lady", "one owner",numbers matching, 1965 Mustang.
The Mustang was extensively restored including the engine and transmission overhaul, new belts, hoses, motor mounts, new chrome, ect. The body was stripped to bare metal and re-painted. It has very low mileage since restoration.New radiator, tires, brakes, shocks, alternator, carpet, door panels, glove boxdoor, door and window gaskets, aluminum valve covers, dual exhaust, electronicignition and a CD player/changer hidden and out of sight in the glove box and trunk. I have all ofthe documentation for everything listed. The car has been a Texas car then moved up to Colorado, so the car is and always have been 100% rust free.
Paint and Body- 101% rust free. An extensive professional restoration was done on this car. The body was stripped to bare metal, all windows, trim, ect. were removed. The car was repainted its factory original color of Springtime Yellow (code #8). The door jambs, trunk jambs, under the trunk and hood were all repainted. The restoration was a labor of love. All work was done professionally to a high standard. New front and rear bumpers, various body trim and chrome, front and rear window regulators, all window seals, door and body seals, side mirror, headlights, LED blinkers, lenses. Very solid, dry, and rust free Texas/Colorado car. Super clean undercarriage. The original undercoating is in excellent condition. The car has been garaged since new.
Interior- The interior is mostly original and in near mint condition. New carpet, and door panels. Mint dash, headliner, and original front /rear seat upholstery. Working original AM radio. Auto Meter volt, temp, and oil pressure gauges were just installed under the dash, to insure all of the motors vitals are in good working order at all times. All electrical, factory gauges, and interior lights work.
Motor and Transmission- Approx 20k miles on completely rebuilt motor and transmission costing over $4500 (receipts included). At the time the motor and transmission was rebuilt the block and heads were resurfaced, block was line honed and bored .030 over. New pistons, rods, bearings, rings, cam, timing gears, oil pump, all fuel and vac lines, fuel pump, starter, torque converter, complete rebuilt transmission, motor mounts, transmission mount, drive line u-joints, shift linkage bushings. Rebuilt factory carb.
Brakes and Suspension- Complete rebuilt brake system including new brake lines, wheel cylinders, drums, shoes, shocks, rear air shocks, all front end bushings including upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, rear axle bearings, front end alignment, ect.
Other- New Toyo tires with white walls (I chose to mount black wall out), brake light switch, heater fan, heater core, turn signal switch rebuilt, heater cables. Original owners manual and door tag.
A/C- Freshly serviced and recharged A/C system ($1100). The compressor was oiled, new rubber A/C lines. The A/C works great and blows ice cold.
Stereo- New stereo system (all hidden) cost over $2200. Kenwood KDC-MP819 200W Detachable Face CD/M w/ remote, 75 watt JL Amplifier and Kenwood KDC-CX87 Kenwood 10 Disc CD changer & Kenwood speakers.
The car runs, drives, and looks like new. The car needs nothing. I have tried to high light the main parts of the restoration/preservation, however there is much work that has been done that is not listed. One of the best investment grade low mile survivor Mustang's on the market.
***I will be happy to answer any questions over the phone, by email, or in person. Personal inspections of the car can be done before the end of the auction. I can also store the car free of charge in my shop prior to shipping.
