This custom '49 Ford F-1 pick-up was purchased in '02. At the time of purchase, the previous owner had modified it with an early Camaro front-clip suspension, small block chevy 350, 350TH auto. A complete frame-on restoration was done over the next year, which included a new bed, lowered suspension, shaved front and rear bumpers, custom paint and custom interior, AC, power brakes, power steering, hidden stereo. About 5 years ago, the drive train was replaced with the LS1/ 4L60 from 2000 Firebird. 2 years ago, I replaced the wood bed with maple! Over $1000 in raw materials. This is a beautiful truck that can be driven everywhere, is reliable, and looks like a show truck, but it is a driver. It has had touch ups over the years, but over all, the paint looks great.
