1989 Ford Mustang LX Additional Info:
This car was my daily driver all summer. It has brand new tires, a brand new starter, a fairly new paint job, a fairly new top, a fairly new battery, $400 stereo system, and just had a tuneup, oil change, and U-joints less than 500 miles ago. The tuneup obviously didnt help anything. I'm only selling it because the motor dropped cylinders 1,2, and 3. This car would be the perfect base for a 5.0 swap or an SVO swap as it is in pretty good condition considering the age. This car is fuel injected, no carburetor. I'm actually not sure that the motor is whats bad in it, theres a chance of it just being the valves or the head, but I don't have time to mess with it. I am fairly sure that it will need a motor. There are no cracks in the glass and it comes with a pair of studded snow tires with a few seasons left on them, used interior side panels that go by the rear seat, assorted weatherstripping, and a set of tire chains. All windows and locks work, and when I bought the car I was told the A/C just needed charged, but I never tried it. The options this car has are; convertible, automatic, power mirrors, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and a tilt steering wheel. Heater kicks butt going down the road. The top goes up and down perfectly, it is hydraulic and the controls are on the dash in easy reach. All the gages on the dash work. Buyer arranges for pickup. Text me at (509)953-2032 for more information or pictures. Cylinder 1 is at 20, cylinder 2 is at 0, cylinder 3 is at 30, and cylinder 4 is at 130. These numbers may change as the state of the motor went from running perfectly to this in under a mile, dropping all cylinders in rapid succession.Â
