1971 Ford Ranchero 500 Special Edition Additional Info:

Up for sale is my 1971 Ford Ranchero 500 Special Edition. I've owned this car for 3 years and has been a nice weekend cruiser. This is not a show car. It is a nice driver condition. My plan was to restore it completely but realized I just don't have the time. Reserve is set low to give the owner some room to work with.

This Ranchero is a "Special Edition". Please see the ad photo for a description of the Special Edition. It has a good running 351 V8 (H Code) which I believe is the original engine (I never verified). It has an Aluminum Edelbrock Intake and a Holley Carb. The C4 Transmission shifts well. Has a nice B&M Floor shifter. Has dual exhaust (sounds good). I don’t know if this engine has been rebuilt before. It runs very good and strong. No smoke or funny noises. The odometer shows 45K. I don’t know if it is 45K or 145K.

Truck has been repainted before I got it. It is decent with a few small scratches. It is a nice driver quality paint (not show quality). Interior is clean with new door panels and carpet. Dash is not cracked. Seats have some cracks (see photos). The bed is in good shape. There is a couple of repair done a small are in front of the wheel wells (see photos). Tail gate open and closes good.

Previous owner did the following: All new front suspension, all new steering parts, new vinyl top, new door panels, new front tires, all new brakes (new shoes all around, drum brakes), installed bucket seats (don't know which car it came from). Previous owner also did some floor pan repair. It’s solid and OK for driver but would need to be redone if performing a complete restoration. He also put dynamat on the floor.

I did the followings since I’ve owned it: Complete Power Steering rebuild with a New Control Valve and hoses (works good), new Alum Pan for C4 Trans and replaced Trans Filter, re-cored the Radiator and replaced hoses, new Battery, new Harmonic Balancer, new Carpet and Floor Mats.

Truck needs: Temp gage not working (probably sender), Fuel gage stopped working about 2 months ago, needs a radio (radio slot has been opened, not too nice but will fit single din radios), seats need to be recovered (some cracks, see photos), seat belts need to be installed (comes with some seat belts).

Reserve is way below the Low Value.

Truck comes with some extra parts including a new pair of rear air shocks (never had the time to install them).
