1971 Ford Ranchero Additional Info:
I have a 1971 Ranchero that I purchased for a restoration project but have come to the conclusion that I am too old to tackle another one so must let this one go. Overall, it is a very good base unit with a really nice body and a lot of cool parts. Would make a great restomod or nice GT clone.
Was originally a puke green car with a 302. Has been repainted white with a blacked out GT hood, red laser stripe and GT grille. Currently has a 351 Windsor with Edelbrock Performer intake and carburetor, Duraspark ignition conversion, headers, Flowmasters, B&M shift kit w/floor conversion, 9" non-posi (3:50 gears I think) and air shocks, Mallory tachometer and more.
On the bad side, the front suspension needs a rebuild (a bit squirrely going down the road), the tranny has a notable leak but shifts fine, dash lights do not work nor do the turn signals. Engine is solid would not take much to make it a daily driver. The dash VIN is missing but the door tag is intact and appears to be correct and matches the title.
The body and trim on this car are overall exceptionally nice and straight for the year with minimal rust (as shown in the pictures). Underneath has no rust whatsoever although the driver's frame rail is kinked upward (probably from some idiot trying to jack it up there). Nothing structural but has pushed the floor pan up a bit.
All glass is good, no cracks, heater works fine. I am trying to give the best description I can but may be forgetting a few things. Please email with any questions. Overall a good vehicle for the money.
