1967 Ford Mustang -- Additional Info:
1967 Ford Mustang 68,186 Miles Factory Air, now R134a 289cid V8 / Cruise-O-Matic Trans Vin # 7R01C120655 7: 1967 R: San Jose, CA Assembly Plant 01: Hardtop C: 289cid 2v V8 120655: Production Number Body: 65A (Hardtop, Standard Interior, Bucket Seats) Color: 6 (Pebble Beige) Trim: 2F (Saddle Standard) Build Date: 20K (October 1966) DSO: 75 (Pheonix, AZ) Transmission: W (C4 Automatic) Evolve Motors and Chicago Car Club are pleased to present this 1967 Mustang! We purchased this lovely Mustang from a gentleman in Michigan, who had bought the car out of California five years earlier as a summer Lake Michigan waterfront cruiser. The car ended up only coming out of his garage a handful of times each summer, and he eventually figured it was time to let somebody else enjoy the car, so he called us. As it sits, this is an extremely clean, well-preserved, and largely original example. Exterior: Pebble Beige is an excellent color on these cars, especially over the Saddle interior. Pebble Beige is the original color, though the car has been resprayed. Paint presents very nicely. There are minimal blemishes; blemishes include a number of small chips scattered throughout, most of which have been touched up, as well as a very minor bubble/chip spot at the forward bottom of the passenger door (see photo). There are no spots of clear coat fading or peeling. All doors/panels close without a fuss. All chrome pieces present as-new, with no oxidation or damage in the slightest. Weatherstripping is in nice shape as well. All lights and glass are clear and crack-free. All four wheels are free of any dings or curb rash. Tires, while in good shape, are fairly old so they should eventually be replaced. Interior: Much like the exterior, the interior shows very few signs of wear. Saddle leather is in excellent condition. Seats are in great shape, with no scratches, scuffs or tears, even on the outer driver’s bolster. Air conditioning has been converted from R12 to R134a and blows cold. All powered systems are functional – radio, heat/defrost, wipers, and all gauges and lights. Leather dash is in excellent shape, with no cracks or damage. Headliner is nice and tight and is free of any scuffs. There is no cracking or peeling on the steering wheel, and the leather-wrapped column is a nice touch. Gauge cluster shows some slight patina. Odometer reads 68,168 and is consistent with the car’s cosmetic and observable mechanical wear. Under the Hood / Underbody: The engine bay of this car presents extremely well. The car retains its original 289cid 2V V8 and C4 automatic trans. On the road, the car feels great. It starts right up first turn, idles cool and quiet, and runs through the gears nice and smooth. The car tracks straight under both acceleration and braking, and the brakes do a nice job of reeling it in from speed. Suspension is nice and forgiving, eating up speedbumps and potholes without any hesitation. Especially with the automatic transmission, this car is a very comfortable and stylish cruiser. Underneath, the car presents equally as well. The car is very dry, there is no through rust. Frame rails, floors, and rockers all look great.
