1988 Ford Ranger XLT Additional Info:
I have up for a sale my 1988 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4. It's a standard cab longbed. It has a Ford performance 302 crate motor mated with a C4 3 speed automatic transmission. It has a B & M shifter with shift kit. I believe there is 456 gears in the truck. I just recently put a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb on it. I bought the truck restored like this so I will give all the information that I have on it. The restoration was completed in 2006. The motor and transmission have just over 28,000 miles on them. I have an envelope with receipts from the build totaling over $35,000. Its at least an inch thick. The truck was done right!
It has 2 stage factory red paint and a custom airbrushed mural on the bed cover (I have the receipt and the mural cost $2,000 to do). There is chip guard mixed in the paint along the very bottom of the truck to prevent chips. The upholstery was redone along with the door panels. there is a small crack on the top of the dash that you can see in the pictures. Overall the truck is in very good condition and runs great. It drives straight and stops well. It has headers and true dual exhaust and sounds really good....not too loud, but a good rumble. Please look at all of the pictures to get an idea of the condition. There is one small ding on the passenger side wheel well metal strip. And I noticed a really small spot on the passenger side bedside that has a small bubble in the paint. The inside of the bed is even carpeted with red marine carpeting. I will try to get a picture of it on here.
I'm selling it because I was going to let my daughter drive it some when she gets her licence. But she has proven that she doesn't deserve to drive something so nice with the way her attitude has been and she hasn't proven to be responsible enough. I don't drive it much, so I think someone who would appreciate it and use it should have it.
If you need a loan, I would suggest lightstream.com they offer loans at very low rates. They get the money to you usually within a day or 2. They send it electronically right into your account. They even allow you to get the loan unsecured so there is no lien on the truck...you have the title in hand and in your name with no lien holder listed. Right now their rates range from 3.29%-6.59% depending on the amount and length of the loan.
I am selling this truck locally as well, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. The truck will have to be picked up from me and if you're local I will be glad to show it to you. I will need a $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal if you win the auction or use the buy it now. The buy it now is a pretty good price I feel...I paid more for the truck than the buy it now is and I've only had the truck since December and have only put about 1,000 miles on it. I do have a reserve on it, but it's reasonable. I hope you've enjoyed looking and reading about it and good luck! Please contact me with any questions.
***The oil spots under the truck are not from my truck!! I just parked it there to take the pictures.
