1966 Ford Mustang 26 Additional Info:
Beautiful piece of American drag racing history that can easily be returned to a restored street legal gem. My grandfather purchased the car back in 1966 as a gift for my father getting accepted into college. My father had the car on the street for two years averaging approx 12000 miles on her. The car was then raced until the fall of 1980 when national speedway in long island NY shut down. Ive since made the car where it can be safely raced without having too many safety issues. Other then fuel cell, fuel lines, tires and gauges. The car is what you see in the pics. It is a car that was drag raced regularly for about 15 years. It was garaged and never saw snow or much rain...Most of the parts that were removed are still stored and kept out of harms way. Just to name a few original parts: 289 High Performance original engine block, connecting rods, flywheel, heads, interior panels, air box, wiper motor, hood, sales and purchase receipt, window sticker, owners manual, misc dealer tags and warranty tags. Much much more including fasteners... No rust however there are some spots of bare metal with corosion, but no cancer. Current race setup.-1970 Boss 302.-Hi ported boss heads-Manly valves-Carrillo rods-Custom front engine mount-Hurst roll control-Stage timing control box-Auto meter mechanical gauges-Holly 750cfm double pumper-Gap and Roush hi rise intake manifold. -4spd top loader trans-wide ratio liberty gears-Ram racing clutch-9in ford rear end-Braided fuel line-Aero fittings.
