1940 Ford Convertible Additional Info:

1940 FORD DELUXE CONVERTIBLE COUPE

One owner last 40+ years — box stock; laser straight; beautiful Cordoba Tan paint; original dash in primer dead straight, with all dash hardware and original radio. No rust anywhere — perfect original floors.

All original everything (except relocated battery box as shown) including vacuum top irons, seats (front and rear), engine, transmission, radiator, rear-end and all stainless and trim. Original interior wood (rear seat/top area) still in place and in excellent condition.

Engine and transmission are out of car — engine runs but smokes (needs attention). Transmission worked fine. Underside of frame is untouched original (including original dirt). The car is a roller, original drive train still in place with original working drum brakes. Body never removed, still tight to frame — I know....I drove it for 9 years. (I planned a "body on" restoration....)

Vacuum operated top is complete with working vacuum lift cylinders, linkage, bows, and vacuum connector hardware. All top hardware connection pins, lock downs, etc. are re-chromed and in perfect condition. ALL parts and accessories for the car are displayed in my shop for inspection.

The car is apart — needs complete assembly. The only things missing are small items that I threw away and are readily available from Drake or Carpenter. I have gotten TOO old - TOO fast and TOO many projects (doing a reality check....). Hard to describe a project but this is a really nice 1940 convertible. Talk is cheap; take a look.....decide for yourself.

Call for further information — the price is firm at $19,500 cash. No deals; no trades. I'm old...tire kickers and late calls make me cranky — I'm around; Tony, 707 253-7632; Napa. Vehicle is for sale locally as well so I reserve the option to remove ad at any time. Thanks for looking!
