First Generation, early production, the first Ford Mustang rolled off the assembly line on March 9, 1964. Ford Mustangs produced between March 9th and July 31st of 1964 are affectionately called 1964 ½ Ford Mustangs by enthusiasts. Total between those dates: Standard Coupe: 92,705 units - Convertible: 28,833. This one is chassis number 5F08U219324, built in Dearborn, MI and is a genuine 1964 1/2 Convertible.

This is a real 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Convertible and has been fitted with a rebuilt Ford 302 V8 and a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter. The car just had a new clutch, flywheel and starter motor fitted. Runs and drives strongly. It has a custom exhaust system that has a nice attitude to it (Magnaflow). The car was custom painted Porsche Guards Red and it is stunning.The engine and transmission have been totally rebuilt. It has an Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor, aluminum racing radiator with an electric fan, Super Stack performance coil, upgraded chrome alternator, etc,
Brand new American Racing 17" Shelby wheels fitted with new Sumitomo tires. These are staggered wheels, rear are 17" x 9" with 235/45 x 17 tires, and fronts are 17" x 7" with 215/45 x 17 tires.
Power custom red top with modern glass rear window in perfect working condition.
White leather interior in great condition.
The car has a 9" rear end, and a Wilwood performance disk brake conversion with heavy duty front shocks with air shocks on the rear.
