1969 Ford F-250 custom cab/camper special Additional Info:
I've spent nearly two years restoring this classic. I am a professional mechanic with 35 years experience and I started out working on 69 Fords as a young mechanic. When I restore a vehicle, it is done first class with no expense spared or shortcuts taken. For example, I bought brand new fuel tanks for this truck rather than mess around with cleaning the old ones. The auxiliary fuel tank is a brand new old stock unit purchased from a Ford parts house seller. I think this might have been the last one on the planet. Engine rebuilt with all machine work done professionally. Runs perfect, no leaks. I had hardened valve seats put in for use with unleaded fuel. The pictures speak for themselves as there is not room to list all the improvements. Brake system completely rebuilt with all new wheel cylinders, hardware, drums, shoes, master cylinder, flexible hoses, pressure differential valve, etc. This truck has the optional factory disc brakes up front. New wheel seals of course. The Dana 60 rear axle has new seals and gaskets. Exhaust is solid, single factory style with new muffler. Interior completely redone with reupholstered seat, new carpet, new dash pad, new headliner etc. No rust in the floorboards on this truck. All parts were sourced from quality suppliers which means no LMC parts used on this truck. I use Dennis Carpenter parts almost exclusively due to the excellent quality. Doors have had all weather stripping, seals, felts etc. replaced. I installed Dynamat in the interior floors, roof, doors, behind fuel tank etc. This truck is extremely quiet inside due to these efforts. Door locks and ignition are the same key. All side trim is either new from D.C. or refurbished by me. All new mounting clips used. New tail light lenses, all new rubber bumpers on tailgate, new headlight bulbs, new Dietz side marker lights which were camper special only. Again, I bought brand new Ford OEM items which are extremely rare. The bed spent most of its' life under a camper shell so it is in excellent shape. I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10 but it does have one small dent in one of the wheel well covers. There was one dent in the side by the auxiliary fuel tank which I had professionally repaired and repainted. You can not tell it was ever dented. I could go on for hours describing and listing areas that I've gone through. Suffice it to say that this truck is as like new as you can get. Runs cool, power steering works perfectly with no leaks. Everything works s it should. I have strived to restore everything back to original condition as opposed to modifying or hot rodding things. I have all receipts for every part I've bought and all the machine work and engine parts. Call if you have any more questions. Oh yeah, brand new 10 ply tires for heavy camper special use. This truck drives absolutely like new. I could have scrimped on cheap tires but that's not how I roll.
