1991 Ford E-250 4x4 Trail Wagons Conversion Van. Up for sale is a rare Ford 4x4 van in near perfect condition! Straight axle 4x4! No cost was spared on the custom build of this van back in 1991 and it still looks like it did when it was new. Original owner took meticulous maintenance logs and gas fill-up.
Never been in an accident. Original paint and body. You will not find a nicer 4x4 van that has been kept up like this one. Trail Wagons out of Fairfield did the conversion and Pathfinder did the 4x4 conversion (suspension, lift kit, etc). There is a shifter in between the two front seats. It has 2WD, 4WD Hi and Low with locking hubs.
Mechanically speaking the van is turn key. You can buy it and start driving. I would not hesitate to drive this cross country tomorrow. Strong and powerful 5.8 L 351 ci Ford Engine. Lots of maintenance including new battery, newish brakes (shoes, master cylinder, rear drums), newish tires, door lock system, muffler/exhaust and catalytic converter replaced, rebuilt transmission and fog lights.
A/C and heater both work great. Interior is in new condition! There are no major rips, tears, or stains. You will be amazed of the interior conditions. Power windows. Power door locks (except rear doors take key), cruise control. Has working TV/VCR combo. Power side-mirrors installed during Trail Wagon conversion, but they don't work reliably. Has two fuel tanks with switch under dash to change between them. Comes with 10 disc CD player. Custom removable clothes wardrobe behind rear bench seat.
Has custom mood lighting. Very comfortably seats 7. All captain chairs recline and slide forward/backward. Passenger and 2 middle chairs swivel. Comes with custom removable tables with built-in cupholders for backseat and middle seats. Back seat turns into a bed. Privacy window blinds and curtains throughout, except front windows. The inside height is a little over 5 ft.
Original paint still shines very nicely! It occasionally needs a good wax from oxidation but shines up like new. All the glass is good. There are a few small imperfections but overall very nice for being 25 years old.
The van's outside at its highest point is 8ft tall. Covered spare tire mounted to driver-side rear door. Ladder mounted to passenger rear door for access to roof storage.
You are encouraged to view and drive the van before auction ends. You are also more than welcome to have a 3rd party to look at it. There are no surprises! If you are looking for a nice 4x4 van, this is it!
