1929 Ford Model A Additional Info:
Being sold as-is. Was my daily driver up to a few years ago. Hit some railroad tracks super hard and had rear freeze on me. Broke free and can be driven slowly around property. Got an extra 1948 Ford pickup rearend (needs to be gone through), just have no time to spend on it that goes with sale. Possibly pinion bearing and sleeve, or a chipped axle. Runs like a top, engine has about 3500 miles on rebuild, and averaged ~25 mpg on tank. Based on cell phone app as all gauges are airplane gauges (don't work). Transmission is 1964/5 Falcon 3-speed. Tin snips for shifter, one is first and reverse while other side is 2nd & 3rd. Several cars & trucks used to build on frame made for it. Ford, Packard, Dodge, Chevrolet, Nissan & even Toyota (only brake is a late 1990's Landcruiser setup on drive-train). Has bags on rear, plumbed inside to a Harbor Freight 110 instantaneous air compressor. Fan on center section inside from a 1936 Dodge school bus, rewired to work but never wired into wiring of truck. Seats are boat seats with homemade Mexican blanket covers (not bolted in). No exterior handles, passenger side opens on inside by turning handle, drivers side you push down on wire (wired to latch on one side and large bottle opener on other) to spring it open (takes some getting used to). Battery is tucked away under bed, bed sheet metal is hinged for access and has lock. Exhaust is split and run straight, no mufflers. Registered and papered as a 1929 Ford Pickup. 1929 Ford Grille, 1935 Hood (held on by 2 screws per side), Cowl is 1936 Dodge, Doors are 1931 Ford Pickup (filled up to give appearance of chop), extra cab is 1953 Chevy doors turned sideways, back of cab is 1980's Nissan hood and 1930 Ford 5-Window Coupe roof laid in over top. Bed is 1954 Chevrolet (shortened and narrowed), tailgate is 1930's Ford. Front setup is 1939 Ford and rear axle is same years. Hubcaps are a mix from 1936-1939. Coker Firestone Military Tires on stock Ford wide 5 bolt patterned wheels. NOT SOMETHING THAT WILL GO FROM LA TO NEW YORK, BUT CAN HANDLE 100 MILE TRIPS FAIRLY WELL.
