You are looking at a clean 1966 Mustang Fastback originally manufactured as a “T” code six cylinder. Due to the smaller engine, T codes are some of the cleanest and unstressed examples of Mustangs out there. We decided to transform this T code to a V8 car and while presenting it as a “project”, we have done all of the hard work and it is about 90% complete.
We converted the rear end to an 8” set up with 5 lug axels as well as the 5 lug front V8 suspension parts. We pulled a date code correct 289 and c-4 automatic transmission from a 66 Ranchero and dropped it in. The motor and transmission were in working order before we removed it and I have a video of it running. When we got the car it had some rust in the floor pans and a dented tail light panel. We replaced the floors pans, undercoated the car with TranStar undercoating and replaced the tail light panel as well. The car is in a working primer status and will need some bodywork before painting. The quarter panels and fenders are all original and rust free.
