1958 Ford Other Custom 300 Two Door Additional Info:
Up for auction is this 1958 Ford Custom 300, two door sedan, showing only 32,992 miles that we be leave to beits original low miles. It's 292 ci motor with automatic transmission runs good with no apparent oil usage or problems. It has updated fan & shroud assembly and new pertronix Ignition system. The car is stock except for the fan & Ignitionand new power disc brakes up frontwith new one inch drop coil springs also in the front. The car has the original seat, door panels, headliner, all in very nice original condition, especially considering the age of the car. However the passenger side of the front seat istorn as a result of new foam that was installed with out putting a new cover on the seat. (its theoriginal fabric)New material for the seat is available if one wants to maintain the stock appearance. We have samples from the supplier. All carpet has been replaced with new original style. The 1958 Custom 300 is a desirable model because it has a shorter wheelbase and shorter overall length than the Fairland 500 sedan model. Also the ribbed roof of the 1958 Ford Custom 300 has always been popular. The car dose not have power steering but is still a fun and easy car to drive. I don't think this car has been subject to the sun, as the rubber around the glass is soft and the padded dashis also in great condition for the age of the car. It has newer 15 inch radial white wall tires,on the original wheels with dog dish hub caps. The gas tank was taken out, inspected, and was in great condition inside so it had acleaningon the outside and painted, then reinstalled. The original radio doesn't work, but there is a newer unit mounted in the glove box that dose work. The car has a older repaint and small rust bubbles are showing through at a couple of the lower wheel openings. The paint has a few nicks and scratches, but overall looks very nice. There is a rust issue at the A pillar bodymount on the under side of the car drivers side. The rear mounts below trunk have been repaired and all the other under side of the car looks good. (please look at pictures closely) This little Ford is a good driver quality with some rust issues but it is a very low mile example that runs& drives nicely and shows well. This is a nice car and the reserve is set very low.I'm listing this Custom 300 for a friend and will takeall questions to him.Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs. We will help with loading on our end and in anyway we can. For your questions please call Bill (208)750-0000
