1957 Ford Thunderbird. Red with Red and white interior and white tops. This is a great example of the best of the three years during which Ford made the iconic two-seater Thunderbird. This car is equipped with a 312 V-8 engine, power steering, both soft and hard tops, correct Town and Country Radio (restored), and automatic transmission (Ford-o-Matic). The car is in great condition, ready to be enjoyed for the summer! The car has been restored and was kept very original. This is my second Thunderbird, and I have a long history of working on these. I am admittedly a stickler for originality, and that's what drew me to this car. It's data plate confirms that it was originally red with a red interior. The car is extremely straight, the doors are the best aligned I've ever seen. Some more recent improvements a brand new convertible top, and the frame - an original, not the reproduction - was just completely reworked and painted. Beware of the non-sway bar replacement frames! The top has a correct white canvas (not vinyl) cover on it and I've never gotten it wet. The hardtop is in excellent condition. The seat had a new cover and new foam installed - yes, I know I put in the non-original two tone, but I needed to break up all that red! The carpet was replaced, with extra insulation added for comfort. The carburetor was replaced about a year and a half ago, and the car will come with the core from the previous carburetor. As these cars tend to run hot, this has an aluminum radiator and supplemental electric fan. This car starts up and purrs just like it should, and drives extremely well with plenty of pick-up. I am going to set up an account with more photos, so please contact me if you're interested in seeing them and I'll send link. I bought this car with the intention of keeping it, but just bought a very old house with no garage so....sadly I am forced to sell. I know quite a bit on Thunderbirds, so feel free to contact me with any questions. Car is in Philadelphia, PA. I am a private seller and listing this as an auction with reserve. Offers considered. Car will come with plenty of spare parts.
