1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL Additional Info:
A "Desert Find". Too many projects ( a '57 Fairlane 500 and a '53 Victoria ) forces me to sell this Texas/New Mexico 1966 Fairlane 500 XL convertible. An original bucket seat car with factory floor console. Although is starts, runs and drives this is a project car. I got the car in a "package" deal and no nothing about it other then it start, runs and needs a restoration. The top was shredded by a Texas hailstorm 5 years ago and never replaced, the car was sold at that time to an individual in southern NM who did not cover or store the car so the interior is dried out. He was driving it when I got it from him, he didn't care what it looked like but Im sure someone will want to bring this car back to her prior glory. Solid running 289 with good automatic transmission and good brakes. Front torque boxes and front floor pans are good, the rear floor pans have pin holes in the centers of each pan. The passenger side rear spring mount has minor rust ( see picture) the drivers side has more rust but is very fixable with a patch or leave as is, its still pretty solid. Im selling the car at a great pric, I have too many cars and had to cut back and focus so this is priced to sell. Comes with new alternator, voltage regulator and alternator harness, a complete spare convertible pump set up with up/down switch and new convertible top pressure lines. I cant bring myself to sell the car with the butt ugly rims and tires on it now. I will post pictures with the 60's style rims and 4 brand new tires soon . You will need emblems and sunvisors and the usual part here or there but for the most part the car is complete. The paint is faded but Im sure it will rub out. Minor bubbles in the usual places. THIS IS A PROJECT CAR I have no idea what works or what doesnt aside from it starts runs and drives. Clear NM title, not a salvage title. Questions? call or text dean 505-414-0617.
