1956 Ford Fairlane Mainline Additional Info:

Barn find car. 1956 Ford Mainline. Kinda rare.Radio delete (previous owner added antenna) and heater delete.Defrost only.Engine is a 272 and runs good. Previous owner advised when engine had been rebuilt in past, heads were milled and high lift cam installed.Not sure about that but it does run better than any 272 I've ever had.Dual exhaust fairly new and no smoke or scary noises from engine.Car is very clean and original.Body has a few issues from previous repair I have shown in pics.I believe these to be easy repairs.Few dents.Paint looks good and shines.There is no rust in trunk or floors at all.All stainless very good condition bumpers look good but could stand re plating.Turn signal housing are probably some of the best I have seen.Interior is very good condition. No rips or tears in seats.Dash very nice.Carpet very nice.Couple small holes in headliner I believe its original.One door panel shows a repair on passenger rear. Should be easy fix.Here is a list of things I have done in last 2 months.Brakes(Hoses,Cylinders,Shoes,Master cylinder and switch),Carb rebuilt,Full tuneup (plugs,wire,points,condenser and cap)Radiator,Commonly rusted front cross member under radiator,Ignition switch,Headlight switch,Fuel gauge sending unit in tank,Front and rear shocks (rear air),Rear trans seal and 4 new tires.Motor mounts.All in last 2 Months.Car listed locally and could end auction anytime.Sale within the United States only.No warranty.I believe this to be a very nice car but not perfect.I'm selling this car because I already have a Model A roadster and don't need two at this time.So if you want something you don't see every day this 56 Mainline is for you.I don't hide anything when I sell a car on E bay and I've sold a few and everyone has told me I overstated the bad stuff.I just try to be honest with no surprises.
