1975 Ford Maverick Base JG Additional Info:
Well, I'm giving it up. It's just no use, I haven't the money to upkeep this car in a manner that is worthy of it. So I'm going to let someone else have it and take better care of it than I can. Someone who is an expert mechanic and a good restorer ought to be able to restore it to like new condition.
By my calculations, spending $3,000 to $5,000 on it (much less if buyer is a mechanic and knows how to restore), could get you a car with a value between $15,000 and $25,000.
It has some mechanical problems, but the body is solid.
The engine has to be rebuilt, but only partially, as I did part of it. I can send details. The power steering control valve has given me trouble, I have replaced it several times. Just message me for details. It steers to the right when I brake, sometimes, so there's something with the brakes, which are still drum. And it has some scratches and a very minor amount of rust. Other than that, it's pretty good, and it drives. I don't have historic license plates, they are ordinary ones, which means that it passed all Maryland vehicle inspection standard at the time I bought it, in 2013.
