Up for bidding in my restored, stock-appearing Ford F-47 pickup. This truck was restored over a nine year period by the previous owner, a Ford Motor Company retiree, who took a rust free truck down to bare metal. This truck is fairly rare- an F-47 built in Windsor, Canada. The gentleman completed a frame off, nut & bolt restoration which included new shocks, new brakes, new dual master, complete motor rebuild (.30 over), new seals, new tires, rubber mat added to the bed, and new late model Ford rear end for cruising. The truck was painted a midnight blue--looks black at night and dark blue in the sun. Since acquiring the truck, I wanted to keep the stock appearance, but wanted to lower it to give it more of a hot rod feel and DRIVE it at highway speeds. Thus, I undertook the following updates: new seat belts that match the seat, new steering wheel and horn button (old one had a crack in it), new kingpins, new steering link, new front disc brake kit, new bearings, new spindles, new brake hoses, new rotors, new calipers, new tie rod ends, new leaf sprint kit (front), new 4" dropped front axle, all new belts, new speedo cable, new water pumps, new rebuilt T-5 transmission, new trans adapter kit and crossmember, new rear flip kit and blocks to lower rear, and added a chrome bumper (most stock trucks had no rear bumpers). With a new lower center of gravity, this old girl is a pleasure to drive at all speeds! Has the "look" and turns heads everywhere we go. Paint is really good and has a couple of scratches that I am sure can be buffed out...you have to look really hard to see them. Thistruck has ZERO rust! The flathead is probably the best flatty I have ever had...starts on call, no leaks and no smoke and more power with the .30 bore. If you are looking for a top-notch truck that you can drive anywhere, show it and have fun, this is the one.Clean Illinois title. Please email me if you would like to set up a time to preview the old girl!
Note: The replica Indian board track racer in the bed does NOT go with the truck but is available for purchase if you have interest.
