1978 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback, T-top Additional Info:
I bought this car when I graduated, and it was a Ford executive car with 14,000 miles on it. It's never been driven in the rain, and never wrecked. I put in an 85 GT engine, T5 transmission, posi rear-end differential, traction bars, nickel plated headers, 650 Holley double pumper carb with mechanical secondary's. It has a roller cam, and is bored .030 over with TRW pistons and rings. The rebuilt engine probably has less than 1,000 miles on it. I basically lost interest in it, due to having too many other interests. It has always been stored in a climate controlled environment, much like a museum. I will say that the brakes have a couple of wheel cylinders or calipers that are froze, due to extended storage. I'd recommend trailering it home and then fine-tuning things. The paint was done back in the 80's when pearl was first coming out, in lacquer. There are a lot of coats of paint to reach the final outcome, so it does seem to chip or spider web somewhat. Anytime I get this car out, it does turn heads!
