For sale is very unique Mustang GT by the original owner (see the AutoCheck score and History). This car absolutely must be seen/inspected to be appreciated. Purchased new in 1988 this Fox body has been meticulously loved and heavily modified by a Ford Performance Chassis engineer who has been doing high performance chassis engineering at Ford for the past 3 decades. She has never seen snow or salt and has never been in an accident and has not even gone off-track. 97K miles of summer only, garage kept driving. Vehicle has been configured to "do it allâ€.... You can literally drive it daily during the week and lay down the best lap times at your weekend club track events. While it is extremely capable and easy to drive on any road course, it is also a comfortable ride to work or even a cross-country air conditioned drive. It has been extremely reliable and was always driven to and from track events (not a trailer queen ;-). This vehicle is the product of 29 years of engineering exercises and powertrain/chassis development and optimization. It is not a hodge-podge build of cheap aftermarket parts. Many of the components are hand-made, dyno tested for optimized performance. Some specifics are:

Miscellaneous Ramblings and Anecdotal Stories:
This has been my cherished passion since I purchased it new in June of 1988. It started as my Summer car I purchased upon graduation from college that has evolved into it's final state of a highly evolved street legal, potent Road Race-capable machine. I have been a driving instructor for several clubs over the years including Porsche, BMW and Shelby. While the miles are 90-95% street, I have most enjoyed the track time over the years. It has been so enjoyable to load the track tires in the car, drive to a track a few hours away and often be the fastest car, including all of the other instructors. The most fun has been driving while matched with a comparable driver and vehicle. Some of the most fun matches have included other instructor's in their cars such as a modified 2003 BMW M3 and a modified Porsche 911 4S. People were always so shocked that I was able to catch them in the corners, not typical behavior of a Fox Mustang! Many were also disappointed to learn that the rumors of my car being supercharged were not true! How could a naturally aspirated Fox Mustang that drove here with the A/C on be so quick around the track? The secret is it is also easy to drive at the limit. You can shift mid-corner no problem! The tire temps are quite even all around but I still do a diagonal rotation for good measure. My single favorite memory was at Grattan where they flew Lamborghini's lead test driver, Valentino Balboni in to celebrate the opening of a new dealership for several select Lamborghini customers. While I was fortunate to instruct for this event, meeting Valentino was great honor. He's a super nice guy as well. I went for a ride with him in the provided Gallardo and thoroughly enjoyed myself! Surprisingly, he expressed interest in going for a ride in my Mustang. I conceded after he convinced me that he wasn't joking! During the ride he seemed to be having a great time and was overflowing with heavily expressive comments in a thick Italian accent: "Oh my God, it's amazing!!!" As the other instructors were packing up early, I heard the sound that could only be described as Valentino driving the Gallardo around the track by himself. I took the opportunity to head back out on track behind him. After playing with him, I was able to catch and pass him! That was a special day for sure! Another great memory was Tim Allen pulling me over and asking me all about my car. He lived near me at the time and had seen me driving in the area. He later drove my car at 90 mph through his residential subdivision with me crouching down out of sight in the passenger seat! Needless to say, I was later hassled by many of his neighbors.... Worth it for sure! My Mustang and I have also designed and developed many products together over the years including: Steeda 5-Link, Steeda X-2 Ball Joint, Ford M-2300-K and X brake kits, 2000 Cobra-R brakes and the Vintage Venom 14" brake conversion package. We have learned a lot together over the years and I hope she will find a new home where the enthusiasm will continue and new memories will be created.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
