PLEASE READ THE AD BEFORE YOU BID. I am relisting this truck due to the fact that my high bidder did not pay, after I waited on payment, passed on a deposit, had all paperwork notarized and ready etc. Only question asked was would it drive back to Talladega of which I answered I Do Not Know and suggested a trailer, guess who showed up without a trailer at almost 10 pm at night with a small flashlight, did not drive the truck just pointed out everything included in the ad and decided to "pass" all within about 5 minutes You are bidding on my 1978 Ford 4x4 which I purchased from the original owner. It is powered by a 460 with a competition cam, aluminum intake holley 4 brl Headers electronic ignition, automatic, cherry bomb mufflers. Truck runs good sounds better. Truck has had floor pans replaced not showing any rust anywhere,however there is a small area on the low passenger cab corner that appears to have been fixed with filler and is cracking, bed is good but needs a spray in liner to complete, Seat was redone about a year ago, truck sits up good drives good and drives easy. With that being said the truck sat idle for about 3 years before I purchased it, it is leaking transmission fluid at the front seal, I have taken it to my local transmission shop and he has confirmed this is all that it needs. As long as fluid is up to level it drives and shifts out just fine, but you will want to have the seal fixed. The farthest I have driven the truck is about 30 miles, but I use it around town daily.IF YOU LIVE MORE THAN 30 Miles AWAY I Suggest Towing to keep from ruining the transmission, It also needs a heat shield placed on the starter to keep the starter from overheating, after a long drive it is slow to crank. Dash pad has 2 hairline crack, windshield has 3 bb pings in it, passenger side tail light lens needs replaced. Truck was repainted about 5 or 6 years ago and it is showing some wear, meaning scratches, some small flaking at the top of the tailgate,some fading etc, not perfect barret jackson auction block but decent enough for a driver if you want a show truck Plan on repainting it. Truck gets plenty of looks where ever I go, everyone wants to buy it but nobody around here has the cash :) TITLE is listed as clear because in the State of Georgia no titles are required on pre 1985, HOWEVER you will get a current Georgia registration in my name, along with a notarized bill of sale, and proof of insurance as well as a vin verification inspection form from a local law officer. All 50 states honor this and issue you a title if a title is required on this year vehicle in your state. All sales are final as is where is, buyer is responsible for shipping. Payment must be received in full within 7 days of auction end, I will accept paypal if you want to pay half of the fee. If you are using a transport service I will store the truck as long as you need (once paid) at no charge and I will meet the transport company here or somewhere in a large parking lot with the truck and assist in loading at no extra charge to you.
