1966 Ford Mustang Sprint Additional Info:
Very nice car you can drive anytime, anywhere. It is a special edition car offered by Ford to increase sales of the 200 CID engine. The car came with a console and special air cleaner. I bought it from New Mexico and stripped it down to bare metal, replacing any rusted sections. ( quarter panels and sections of the floor ) It was really a pretty solid car. The car was epoxy primed, primed, blocked, sprayed with several coats of torch red, then received three coats of clear. The entire interior is new ( seat foam, covers, carpet, headliner, dash pad anddoor cards ). The engine was reported to have 1000 miles on a rebuild. It seams to stand up to that claim. The C4 three speed transmission was rebuilt by Pioneer Transmission of Peoria Illinois. It has stronger internals and a shift kit. The converterand lines arenew as well. The brakes were upgraded to SSBC front power discs. The suspension got an upgrade as well to a 1 1/8th bar in the front and a 3/4 bar in the rear. The front was lowered an inch as well. There is a Monte Carlo bar under the hood to further increase the roll stiffness. The tires are new and the exhaust is new.The ignition is Pertronix with a new high output coil. It has a new fuel pump, fuel sending unit, carburetor and radiator. The car starts on the first turn andcorners very flat. The radio is in the glove box and is blue tooth equipped. I will come out easily if you decide to install something in the dash. On a recent trip of 150 miles, the car returned 25.5 MPG.
