HI, P FOR SALE HERE IS A 65 FORD RANCHERO WITH A V8 AND FOUR ON THE FLOOR THAT LITTERALLY CAME OUT OF A 20+ YEAR CALIFORNIA BARN NAP WITH MANY NEW ITEMS INCLUDING A BRAND NEW SHADED WINDSHIELD WITH NEW WINDSHIELD GASKET, RAND NEW DARK BLUE RANCHERO SPECIFIC CARPET, BRAND NEW BLUE CLOTH DRIVERS SIDE RACING SEAT, VERY NICE AIR CLEANER WITH A 3D 302 EMBLEM, EW BLUE TAYLOR SPARK PLUG WIRES, EW BLUE HIGH QUALITY STANDARD BRAND BLUE STREAK DISTRIBUTOR CAP, EW FUEL PUMP, EW SEE THROUGH INLINE CHROME GAS FILTER, EW FUEL LINES FROM FUEL PUMP TO FILTER TO CARB, EW BLUE MONROE FRONT SHOCKS, EW LOCKING GAS CAP AND REBUILT LIFETIME WARRANTY NO RECEIPT REQUIRED BRAKE MASTER CYCLINDER. I HAVE BRAND NEW BLUE DELUXE DOOR PANELS FOR IT. HAS A HIGH QUALITY BLUE STREAK MADE IN USA DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR THAT LOOKS RELATIVELY NEW. MOTOR FIRES UP AND RUNS GOOD AS IF IT WAS REBUILT AT ONE TIME. AFTER SEVERAL PASSAGES WITH A WIRE WHEEL AND SEVERAL COATS OF ANTI RUST ON THE FLOOR BOARDS IN PREPARATION FOR THE NEW CARPET, WAS AMAZED TO SEE HOW RUST FREE THE ORIGINAL FLOOR BOARS ARE FOR THEIR AGE. PREVIOUSLY I HAD ONLY DRIVEN IT FROM THE BACK OF APOLSTERY SHOP TO THE SIDE OF APOLSTERY SHOP IN FIRST AND REVERSE AND SAME INTO AND OUT OF AUTOMOTIVE GLASS SHOP PARKING LOT AND ACROSS THE STREET TO MECHANIC SHOP BUT FINALLY AFTER MECHANIC SHOP INSTALLED ITS REFURBISHED GAS TANK AND ABOUT 8 GALONS OF FRESH GAS, TOOK IT FOR ITS MAIDEN VOYAGE FOR ABOUT A MILE. THE TRANS SEEMS TO SHIFT PROPERLY AND CLUTCH SEEMS TO BE GOOD. I HAVE BRAND NEW STILL IN THE BOX BLUE MINROE MATIC REAR SHOCKS FOR IT. BRAND NEW REAR QUARTER PANELS FOR IT HAVE BEEN PAINTED FORD GUARDSMAN DARK BLUE. MACHINE SHOP FRIEND MADE THE FOLLOWING OBSERVATIONS: IT HAS A 9" FORD DIFFERENTIAL WICH EXPLAINS WHY THE REAR BRAKE DRUMS LOOK MORE MASSIVE THAN STOCK AND IN PART WHY REAR DRIVERS SIDE TIRE IS TOO CLOSE TO THE REAR WHEEL WELL. HE ALSO MENTIONED THE DRIVERS SIDE HEAD HAS A 17? MARKING ON IT MAKING THEM 302 HEADS AND SAID THE WATER PUMP & TIMING CHAIN COVER LOOK LIKE THE SLIGHTLY NEWER 302 VERSION WICH COINSIDES WITH PREVIOUS OWNERS STATEMENT THAT IT HAS A 302 MOTOR. HE ALSO MADE THE OBSERVATION THAT THE OIL PAN LOOKS LIKE THE LARGER 302 FULL SIZE TRUCK VERSION. A BRAND NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT WAS JUST INSTALLED IN ITS GAS TANK THAT WAS BOILED, CID BATHED, NNER COATED AND EXTERIOR PAINTED. CURRENTLY TWO OF FOUR VERY NICE CRAGAR RIMS THAT I ACQUIRED FOR IT ARE ON IT WITH GOOD TREAD ON THE TIRES. I HAVE A SET OF STOCK STEEL WHEELS FOR IT IF YOU PREFER STOCK WHEELS.
VIN CODE MAKES IT AN ORIGINAL V8 CLASSIC.WHEN I DROVE IT ON ITS MAIDEN ONE MILE DRIVE, WAS SURPRISED HOW PEPPY THE V8 IS WITH ITS HEADERS AND MALLORY COIL. WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES BEFORE A STOP SIGN, NE OR MORE OF THE WHEELS LOCKED UP AND THEN RELEASED. PLEASE STUDY PICTURES CAREFULLY AS THIS HIGHLY DESIRABLE OVER HALF A CENTURY OLD AMERICAN MADE CLASSIC IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS.
