This 1923 Ford 3-Door Touring (Phaeton) is now NINETY FOUR (94!) years old, and it doesn't need a thing. It is a drive anywhere, start anytime, and show without excuse kind of car!And of course, it is100% steel.

HISTORY: I purchased this car9 or 10years ago, from Bay City Motors in Michigan. They had acquired it from the original builder (who worked for a topquality East Coast rod shop), whoput nearly 9,000 miles in only afew years, taking it to a number of East Coast shows. The car was certainlybuilt to be driven, and it was! That said, it is still virtually unknown here on the West Coast. I have only taken to 3-4 small local shows, and driven it in a few parades. It has only been to one Good-Guys show (and no NSRA shows) west of the Rockies......yet it is capable to be driven to any of them. Sp if you are in the western states, it'll be like a fresh build! I just have too many cars and not enough time, so it is time to pass along the opportunity for ‘Lizzy’ to join a new hot rod family.
CONDITION:Show Winner - TOP QUALITY, expensive build! This original '3 Door' Touring is of the quality to compete in any show - indoor, outdoor or even a Concours event. It really has no excuses. It may have a few rock chips or minute scratches, but you'll have to look hard for them if you find them at all. It starts easily, drives straight and is perfectly reliable, even if it has sat for a few months. Thanks to the easily installed side curtains, it can even be driven in inclement weather in a pinch. This truly is a no excuse resto-rod that can be driven, shown and enjoyed anytime, anywhere.
TITLE: Clear, California title (as a 1923 Ford), in my name. Currently registered and insured. If you are a sincere buyer, you can call me at 805- three nine one -0509 (cell), or email me directly at hotrodranch at live.com (of course you’ll need to use the @ symbol in the email address). I amhappy to answer questionsabout this car. I only request that youaskquestions BEFOREyou bid!
PRICE/RESERVE: I'm selling this car at a big loss, but my loss is your gain. It would cost you 2-3 times my reserve to build this car to this caliber. If you think 35K is too much money for a Model T, I understand. Go buy one for 20-25K that was built in the 80's, and hope for the best. Then, once you realize you need to update everything and you're 45K into it, reflect back on this car with a reserve under 35K. The great thing about this car is the build is still very contemporary and current.....with no updates or upgrades needed to enjoy and show it.

LOCATION: The car is located in Paso Robles, CA - exactly 1/2 way between Los Angeles and San Francisco - on CA Hwy 101. More specifically, I'm 200 miles to greater LA or SF, and only 110 miles to either Bakersfield or Fresno (either/or....same either way). San Luis Obispo airport is only 30 minutes away. You could even fly in and drive Lizzy home if you wanted.NOTE: You may notice that the passenger side glass 'wind wing' is missing in a few photos. The lower chrome bracket had cracked, so I removed the wind wing for that particular show so as to have no chance of the glass falling onto the paintwork. It has now been replaced with a new bracket, and is 100% back to normal.
