1971 Ford Thunderbird Glamor paint Additional Info:
Hello and thank you for your interest in this 1971 Ford Thunderbird Coupe.
The Good:
It runs well with new Edelbrock 650 CFM Carborator, distributor, plugs, wires, and hydrolic roller lifters.New batteryWater pumps greatPower steering works greatStarter works greatAlternator works perfectTransmission perfectAlignment straight onStraight body never an accidentInterior is clean, good carpets, headliner and dashSolid floor pans and trunkWheel wells and undercarriage super cleanEngine compartment super clean
All interior lights workGreat wheels, tires and hubcapsComes with original builds sheet and all registrations and manuals (buyer and repair)
The bad:
Needs some rust repair after 45 years. Please see pictures as I want to be brutally honest and have no misunderstandings. It is not cancer, just neglect and an easy fix.The valve lash is a little off and it should have studded roller rockers and custom length push rods. The power steering pump whines a little, I will give a spare with purchase just in case.Crack across windshield.stitching in front seat needs redone in 2 small lines. Like 4 inches or so and center arm rest/glove box lid needs to be redone.Drivers side muffler needs to be replaced. All in all a great car with a few things any 45 year old car might need.
Being that is a 45 year old car I can not predict any future issues and offer no implied or expressed warranty, this is an as is car. Please feel free to have someone local come and check her out, I welcome all visitors and can be reached by cell or email as well. jeffnixon (at ) unitedrecyclersofamerica (dot) com. On Feb-22-17 at 13:23:35 PST, seller added the following information:Please see the you tube video youtube.com/watch?v=_Ap7x13fkZk I am playing with the valve lash adjusting the rocker tightness. The oil burning if from it running and throwing oil with valve cover off. Oh, and it is a little loude because part of the rear of the muffle pulled loose. I'll fix it prior to delivery.
