This handsome 1950 Ford two-door is exactly what you're looking for when your preference is for a great custom car with a touch of aggression. After all, it might have a comfortable A/C interior, but the slick black paint and fuel injected 350 V8 under the hood make this one a bit of a rebel. Everyone loves the sleek look of Ford's first post-war design. It was fairly groundbreaking when it first appeared, which is why it became the darling of the custom car crowds. This legacy is seen on added features like the custom side mirror and the red detail work that matches the red trim of the wheels. Like any good 1950s car there's plenty of chrome on the bumpers and on the highly stylized grille. In the middle of that bullet nose there's an "8" just so everyone knew back then that you were piloting the big motor, and today that holds even truer (more on that in a moment.) In total, this has less ornamentation than later 50s cars, which allows people to really appreciate the investment in the slick black paint that really sets the coupe apart.Inside there's been a lot of work to give this basic Ford plenty of modern and premium touches without jeopardizing the period-correct appearance. For example, it still retains the correct split-folding bench up front, but now that have a supple red leather that looks like no one have ever sat in this before. In fact, we suspect the matching red headliner, door panels, and carpeting are all new, which creates a very fresh and uniform appearance. The dash and instrument panel appear stock at first glance, but then when you look beyond the correct-two-spoke steering wheel, you can see a more modern Haneline gauge package that offers all the vital info. Plus the upgrade to a AM/FM/CD stereo and modern R134a air conditioning are the kind of welcomed features that give this classic a real sense of modern comfort. We've already alluded to something special under the hood, and you're probably already gone ahead to see the pictures of the 350 cubic-inch motor. If you think it's sacrilegious to install a Chevy small block V8 under the hood of a Ford, you'll change your mind when you realize that there is no better way to get a reliable and infinitely upgradeable powertrain. In fact, this V8 appears pretty fresh, and it already has the allure of reliable and powerful fuel injection. This motor provides plenty of power for the '50 Ford, and it even makes some nice gutsy noises out of the dual exhaust. The Chevy transplant doesn't end at the V8. A Nova independent front end was installed to provide a better ride and conveniences like power steering as well as front disc brakes. Plus, you have a GM four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. The installation of the full package is well done, which makes this a coupe useful well beyond just Sunday drivingThis is the custom vintage car that leaves you wanting for nothing. Your wild side loves the fuel injected V8, and your practical side loves the A/C and room for everyone. This is the responsible kind of cool, and it can be all yours if you call today!
