1966 Ford Mustang 26 Additional Info:
You are viewing my exceptionally clean and well cared for 1966 K code Fastback Mustang GT350 clone with DOCUMENTED 40,739 ORIGINAL miles.I have title history to document the original miles, the engine block, heads, intake, carb, exhaust manifolds, transmission and rear end are all original K code parts for this specific car, except the block which was replaced some time in the cars history (the block is a true K code block with all K code parts down to the correct K code Harmonic Balance). The original intake, carb and radiator have been replaced with Shelby GT350 specific parts but the originals come with the car. This 1966 Ford K code fastback is as accurate of an example of a 1966 GT350 Mustang you can get without having a SHELBY vin tag that would have been assigned from Shelby in 1966If you know the collector car market and values of these cars, an all original 1966 K code fastback sells in the neighborhood of $60K and a true GT350 sells for north of $125K.....No Marti reports are offered by Kevin Marti for Mustangs prior to 1967 so I have broken down the vin and trim tag for your review. This is what the car started out in life as:
Year: 1966Plant: T- Metuchen NJ
Body Series: 09 - 2 + 2 Fastback
Engine: K - 289 4V V8 HiPoUnit: 134680
Body: 63A - 2 + 2 Fastback, standard interior
Color: Z- Sauterne Gold Metallic
Trim: 26 - Black Crinkle Vinyl and Black Rosette Vinyl, Standard Interior
Date: 23K - October 23, 1965D.S.O. 41 - ChicagoAxle: 5- 3.50:1, Conventional
Trans: 5 - 4 Speed Manual
As you can see from my detailed pictures, the car is exceptionally clean, well put together and has all the correct components to represent a 1966 GT350 Mustang. I do not have a spare tire and jack assembly for the car. Car was restored about 11 years ago and driven on weekends or to car shows. Paint is in awesome shape and shines well, there are a few chips along bottom of rockers from driving, other than that there are no imperfections in the paint, interior or engine.
Please have your funds in place, permission from whomever and be a serious buyer. This car is priced fairly and is only for sale because a car I have been trying to buy for many years has come up for sale.
Car is sold "as is, where is" no warranty written or implied. Feel free to schedule an inspection if you would like during the auction period. You can check my feedback, any car I have sold to buy another car has been rated with very favorable feedback and the car is always nicer than described. If your in the market for either a TRUE K code Fastback or a Shelby GT350 Mustang you cant go wrong with this example. I would feel comfortable getting in this car tomorrow and driving it anywhere in the country, it starts, runs, drives and stops great and draws lots of attention.
