1964 Fairlane 500 wagon for sale.
Incredible restoration done as a shop project by a gentleman that restores rare high dollar Mustangs. Crazy attention to detail including properly plated nuts/bolts/brackets/suspension. All chrome and stainless totally restored. Under dash restored, under carriage restored, axle, engine bay, yes all restored and rebuilt. Look veryclosely at photos, you will see what I mean.
Receipts show rebuild of generator, rebuild of suspension, engine/trans/p-s pump and steering box, and so on. No shortcuts to be found...
17 inch wheels, Kyb front shocks, power four wheel disc brakes from a late model mustang (2005?), slightly lowered and linex style undercoat are all I see that takes it away from stock.
Only issues are minor trans pan leak, paint chipping on rear stainless panel (not on body), half-dollar size paint crack on wheel lip, some paint on roof to be buffed to make perfect.
Biggest issue this wagon has is a distracted owner... could be a few other tiny issues, will add if I can find some.
Would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Took it on a 300 mile trip over a huge grade with no problems, drives great.
Only selling because I have a high maintenance 64 Fairlane drag race car plus a 72 Suburban restoration in progress and space is getting tight...
