1965 Ford Falcon Additional Info:

1965 Falcon Wagon - basic strip-model version.
200 straight 6 cylinder engine - 3 speed column shift. 105k miles.
UNDER THE HOOD: I have done a complete tune-up including new plugs, wires, cap, distributor cap and a Pertronix 2 ignition system. The battery was replaced when I purchased the car last year.
INTERIOR: I have replaced the heater box and defrost tubes. Glove box is new. I have custom made my own door panels and covered them in Grey tweed. I have replaced the headliner and the rubber seal for the windshield and both rear side windows. New carpet has also been installed. The seats are from a 1999 Ford Mustang (power driver seat). The shifter on the steering column has been replaced, new steering wheel and turn signal internals. I do NOT have the original seats for the car. All of the glass is in good shape and the windows all work as they should. The windshield is also new.
FLOOR PANS: I have welded replacement pans in, sealed them and under-coated them on inside and outside. There is still a rusted area under the spare tire well that I have not fixed yet.
UNDER THE HOOD: I have recently removed the air cleaner and valve cover and painted them the proper "Ford Red". This was done at the same time as the complete tune-up. As soon as we have decent weather I plan to finish the rest of the engine detailing.
MECHANICAL: I have replaced the front brake shoes, wheel cylinders and the brake hoses. The brakes work great for 4-wheel drums. The exhaust is older but is still in decent shape from front to the rear bumper.
COSMETIC: I have lowered the front by cutting the coil springs. This helped the car ride and drive fantastic.
PAINT/BODY: Yes, the paint is shot, but if you are into that "patina" look, it's done. HA. It has a small dent in the lower quarter on one side from a bumper hit. The tailgate has been replaced and the window DOES go up and down, but has a bolt sticking out of the tailgate to operate the rear window. There are no dings down the sides and the under-side of the hood is still in decent shape. The Chrome is still is great shape everywhere, including the straight front grille (could sell grille for $500 plus). The body was repaired many years ago before I purchased it. It has a small amount of bondo in the lower section of the rear quarters, but it doesn't look like much and should be an easy fix. The dog-legs have small holes but would also be an easy fix if you can weld or do bodywork.
STEERING: The steering is manual but doesn't have much play in it at all. 55 MPH and you can let go of the wheel, hit the brakes and she stays straight. It is honestly a great driver for being over 50 years old.
EXTRA STUFF: I have a good, straight and rust-free front passenger side fender. I also have the bottom of a fender to use as a patch for the lower driver side fender.
TIRES/WHEELS: 4 matching hub caps in great shape with NEW stainless steel beauty rings have been installed. It will be needing tires as these hold air and I have driven it over 55 MPH but would not trust them for very long.
Purchased in the summer of 2016 and I have done lots of work to it and replaced many parts. Now, I am only selling because I purchased a 1962 Falcon 2-door wagon.
If it doesn't sell I will continue to play with it and do more to it. This is a great project car and most of the hard stuff is already done.
I purchased this car from North Carolina, where it has been all of it's life.
I am not open to trades, just cash. I am in no hurry to sell this car either, doesn't bother me if I get to keep it, but I would rather start on the 62 Falcon 2-door wagon instead. Please do not low-ball me, it is welcome to stay right where it is. The reserve price is set pretty low for this Falcon wagon. Located in Huber Heights, Ohio, 10 minutes from the Dayton airport.
