1938 Ford Other Additional Info:
This is a nice 38 Ford Deluxe Tudor traditional hot rod. The body is very straight, unrestored, and original paint. The frame is also original but with several upgrades. Competition Engineering narrowed drop axle, Pete and Jake shock and sway bar kit, split bones, de-arched rear spring, lowered front spring, dropped steering arms, new king pins, juice brakes with machined shoes to match drums, all new wheel cylinders, and tie rod kit. I'm running a warmed over 1946 59A (239ci) flathead built by Jim Flemming out of Washingtonville, Fl. Deck surfaced, intake and exhaust ports smoothed and match ported to intake, 1.5 exhaust and intake Chevy valves, Egge pistons, Winfield SU-1 cam, high flow water pumps, Melling oil pump, with front drive Pertronix electronic ignition, new OG Stromberg 97 carburetor, Walker radiator, and Fenton exhaust. Transmission is a T5 5 speed with an Offenhauser adapter, new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. New open drive shaft conversion with stock 3.78 rear end. Cruises comfortly at 65 MPH @ 1825 RPMS New Poly gas tank and sending unit. The car has a brand new Painless wire loom and has been switched over to 12 volts. Vintage Stewart Warner gauges with electric speedo are awesome. Everything works as well as a couple of modern amenities like USB port and warning lights. I installed new headlight assemblies with halogen lights and built in turn signals. The car drives great and in October was driven to a hot rod show in Arizona (800 mile round trip) flawlessly. It does have squeaks and rattles but the car drives and stops awesome. The cowl vent and front windshield opens with ease. The interior is comfortable but is original. The headliner is there but coming apart in several spots. The original Ford 16 inch wheels and hub caps have been powder coated and restored. New radial tires where installed. I do have the original spare wheel and tire that goes with car. I know I'm missing a bunch of details. As I remember them, I will revise listing or you can call me at 661-510-5651 Sean
