Up for auction is a 1956 Ford (vin # U6MG141063) ... This 56 Ford was taken off the frame and restored in 2009-2010. I have a few pictures of the car before and off the frame as well.
The paint is single stage acrylic enamel and it looks great… Not perfect. The body is all steel and only one panel was replaced and one patch panel. As stated above all of the glass is new and the glass molding and trim.
The motor is a Ford 302ci (1980 motor) rebuilt completely bored .060 and balanced. It has a 750 dual line Holley with headers and Flow master exhaust. The tires are new on steel wheels. The transmission is a Borg Warner T5 5-speed rebuilt from Commerce, GA. It has front disc brakes on a Fairmont front end, the rear end is 57 Ford 9”, and it has front and rear sway bars and rear air lift shocks. The front bucket seats are Lincoln and the drivers is power. All of the lights and turn signals work, lights up pretty well for night cruising.
This car runs, rides, and drives very well and it’s a really good car.
The following items could be addressed. The speedometer is not hooked up. The cable spins however it needs the adapter for the transmission end of the cable. The fuel gauge does not work. It has a new tank however the original fuel gauge is for 6-volt and now on a 12-volt system. There are no rubber seals around the doors. The front bumper has not been re-chromed…
