We are excited to offer this 1940 Ford Pickup finished in Bright Yellow & Purple two-tone combination exterior accented by a tri-tone hand-painted pin stripe, over a Black Leather bucket seat interior with purple piping! This all steel example was frame off restored just 2,700 miles ago and comes well-appointed with upgrades that include a professionally executed 2” chopped roofline! Further additions consist of a crate GM 350ci V8, Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission, modern air conditioning, power windows, power remote door poppers, Ultra Cruise II cruise control, all new tinted window glass, billet interior accessories & control handles, AM/FM/CD player, and more! Underneath, you will find a fully painted original frame with Chassis Engineering IFS front suspension to include power ventilated disc brakes, power rack & pinion steering and Chassis Engineering X-member mated to the original Ford chassis for added transmission support & rigidity, along with their front & rear anti-sway bars.
The engine possesses ceramic coated block hugger headers, Edlebrock Endurashine Performer RPM Vortec intake with matching Performer 650cfm carburetor with electric choke. A host of time, energy, and parts went into a build of this quality! It is worth mentioning all new Lawson Tuff-Torq zinc-coated body hardware, complete wiring harness with new IDIDIT chrome tilt steering column, leather-wrapped banjo steering wheel, new stainless steel fuel & brake lines, Polyethylene 16-gallon gas tank, new electric cooling fan, electric fuel pump, all new suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, all of the chassis to body blocks & hardware, new stained oak wood bed with polished stainless steel slats, rear cargo net, integrated turn signals with LED dash indicators, stainless steel battery box with auxiliary kill switch, aluminum radiator with aluminum shroud, high flow aluminum water pump, stainless steel upper & lower flex hoses; and new dual exhaust system with resonators giving a perfect street rod sound!
Inside you will be treated to soft, leather bucket seats with arm rests, complete Stewart Warner instrumentation with tachometer, billet controls for electric wipers, HVAC controls, door handles & window cranks, foot pedals, and Lokar parking brake equipment hidden between the seats. On the ground sit 17” Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dog polished wheels measuring 17×7’ up front and 17×8” at the rear all wrapped in BF Goodrich Scortcher T/A radial tires. The truck runs exceptionally well, and more importantly, is nicely sorted out! It performs wonderfully even on hot summer days with the air conditioning blowing, running 185 degrees on the thermostat. The speedometer is very accurate at all speeds, with a current odometer reading of 2,714 miles.
