By the mid sixties the American car manufactures had turned their design teams loose. Long, ow, leek cars with sinister good looks were showing up in show rooms and getting allot of attention. The collector car world has always embraced these big cars, special a convertible. I learned to drive in a 64 Galaxie 500 so I will forever have a soft spot for these cars. ACG has had several over the years and the true "Z" code 390 XL model you see here is a very cool car. It has a solid body with a beautiful paint job. It features the infamous FE big block V-8 motor, ordomatic transmission, ower steering, ower brakes, ual exhaust, nd refurbished suspension. It rides on brand new custom wheels with radial tires. It is a blast to drive! It is smooth and quiet,even top downwith the turbo muffler dual exhaust. It looks like all of the trim, hrome, nd glass are original. The trim is showing it's age here and there. The motor compartment needs some love so we will be doing a full detail job on it now that we have tuned it up. I will update the photos when completed. The chassis is clean and what you would expect for a driver quality car. The power operated top is new and works terrific. The snap on boot is super easy to install. The trunk compartment is very nice and includes the mat, ull size spare, and jack assembly. The highlight of this car other than the stunning paint is the immaculate XL trim interior. It has a Thunderbird vibe to it and simulates 4 bucket seats. It also has a full factory console, floor mounted shifter new carpet, ew seat belts, nd upgraded CD radio. Driving a big old Ford convertible is an absolute blast. They drive so well, ide so smooth, nd handle great with the upgraded tire/wheel package.
