1959 Ford Fairlane fairlane Additional Info:
Offering at no reserve is a pretty solid 1959 Ford two door hard top for restoration. This is one of four I recently purchased. Appears to be almost all original paint thus is an honest car. It is too good to part out. Floors are solid with only minor surface patina except two spots in the trunk at the body mount just behind the rear wheel wells. This is common to rust through from the bottom up due to it being a mud trap area. This car is from Oklahoma and shows no sign of salt damage. Frame is solid as is most of the body. Has some rust in the rockers as is typical again due to mud trap areas. The lower inner front cowl is real solid this is an area most are bad. May have some rust in the lower quarters behind the wash boards again due to mud trap areas. Tail fin mouldings appear to be real straight. These are typically hailed out. Missing a back up light but if one of the others has one I will include it. The front drums and backing plates are bad. The car is a roller. This car sat without a front clip on it for years. Apparently was a good one and sold off of it long ago when the car was worth nothing. I put the black/white one on off of one of the other four door cars. It is solid except at the lower rear where it has typical mud trap rust. Missing the radio otherwise dash appears to be complete. I am including the front fender trim also from a different car. There was no motor or transmission but I have a 352 with an automatic out of one of the four door cars I will include if wanted for nothing. Has the hard to find 2 door front seat. Will need all upholstery restored. Windshield is broken. Flat glass is cracked or delaminating. Back glass is good. All glass is readily available. If you know anything about fifties cars this one will save a ton of time in rust repairs alone. THIS IS A PROJECT CAR NEEDING FULL RESTORATION OF ALL COMPONENTS. ALSO IS MISSING SOME ITEMS INCLUDING THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION. Selling with intention of needing full restoration of all components. I can deliver within a 400 mile radius for $500.00. This is the third and last time being listed due to one no pay bidder (super low feedback score) and a lot of interest last time but no takers. I have had a little more than asking price in parts requests if I was to part it. i will build it here my shop first. That is how solid it is.
