1916 Ford Model T Additional Info:
For your consideration is a 1916 Model T Ford Touring with a later 1924 engine with electric starter. The engine turns free andthe cylinder bore is the original 3 3/4 inch. Note the pictures show the cylinder walls to be slick with no pitting that I could see. I have included pictures to show the top of the pistons in different positions. It seems to me that this Model T would be a good candidate for a mechanical restoration and leaving a patina finish. There is rust in the lower rear of the car as shown in the pictures. The car does roll and steer with no problems. The title to the car was lost years ago and will be sold with a bill of sale (the listing form required me to include "clear", owever it will be a "bill of sale" only). Transportation will be the responsibility of the buyer. This Model T will need a full restoration with tires and other normal things needed for a car that's 100 years old. There are a few parts in a box in the car such as some of the top bow frame, wo coil boxes (tops are missing) and some of the original nuts and bolts. I do not have the two brakerods.I did remove some of the engine components, uch as the head and manifold to make an inspection, o a new gasket set will be necessary when putting it back together.
