What I am selling from my collection is a 1931 Fordor Standard Phaeton. This is a late 31 with the indented firewall and a numbers matching original car made in April of 1931. The car is all black with apple pin stripe and wheels. This is a great and rarer than all other Phaetons as they produced only 4074 cars in 31. This car had only two owners under regular use and the last owner had the car for about 50 years from what I know. This was a Connecticut car when I purchased it and has never been molested or taken apart and everything on this car is original from new with the exception of the new top, interior and complete set of side curtains done by LeBarron Bonney done to Judging standards the way it left the factory. The paint on the car retains a beautiful gloss finish as you can see and has been done over the years where needed and flows very well and presents very nicely. This is a car that I would call a high quality driver that you could take to a show and fair well and enjoy driving without the worry of puddles or things of that nature. I have detailed they car very well as you can see, they undercarriage is very clean as is the engine bay and needs nothing. The mechanics of the car have been gone over and the car runs and shift real nice as it should, I recently did the correct side bowl carburetor and put the correct gas shutoff valve in place as the one that was there was not correct. The car is dry underneath with no leaking on the garage floor. The whitewall tires are in very good condition and all the wheels are excellent and strait. As I mentioned before this car has the original numbers matching motor and is a super original car that has always had a pampered life and almost impossible to fined in this model like this as they were used up. Best of Luck on this rare find.
