HISTORY: I bought the car from a friend that lives near Cincinnati. The car needed paint, had the wrong engine and I been stored for about 11 years. I bought it on August 1 of the year and have done the improvements. I had a 428 engine that I rebuilt, had the local transmission shop rebuilt a C6 transmission, had the car painted and tons of other work. I am 70 years old, I was a auto mechanic instructor for several years and a helicopter mechanic and instructor in the Army in the late 60s.

HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!

BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK!

INTERIOR LIGHTS WORK! BACKUP LIGHTS WORK!

SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS!

RADIO WORKS! HORN WORKS!

HOW IS THE BODY? I consider it real good, it looks to me that the body panels are all original. The floors look original, someone in years past may have put a couple of small patches. Think under coating, so you can see pretty good, torque boxes look good to me. Under side in not slick and painted like a new car, but its good for a driver.

HOW IS THE PAINT? I love acapulco blue, to me it a dark blue with lots of metallic. The shine is very good, the body is very straight, no dents, no dings, no rust bubbles. I had the car painted at Peach Tree Auto Painting in Chattanooga, paints about 6 weeks old.

HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Its not new, but looks real good to me. I see no holes or ripps and no bad wear. The dash pad is good, headliner good with a few minor wrinkles.

HOW IS THE ENGINE? It is a 428 cubic inch that I rebuilt, NOT ORIGINAL! I put a new Eagle crank in, new Seal Power pistions, new bearings, new Summit Racing cam made by Crane (hits a mild lick), new valves with, valve seats are hardened for unleaded fuel, new hoses, new radiator, new fuel pump, new battery cables, rebuilt starter, new relay. The carburater is a dual line Holley. The engine starts good and runs strong.

HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a C6 automatic that I had the best local transmission shop rebuild. They put the high energy clutchs and a shift kit in it. I did not put a kick down on, I like to pull it down in 2nd gear for passing gear and have the control.

A FEW ADDITIONAL THINGS I PUT IN is a new gas tank, new radiator, new heater core, new turn signal switch in the steering column, new window regulators.

HOW IS THE CHROME? New bumpers, new quarter window trim, new gas cap, windshild and back window trim is original and decent. The worst thing I see is some pitting in the quarter window divider trim.

HOW IS THE GLASS? New windshield and the other glass is used, but decent.

HOW ARE THE BRAKES? New rotors on the front disc, new calipers on front, new rubber hoses on front, new shoes on back, new wheel cylinders on back, the booster is stock.

HOW IS THE STEERING? Car is not power steering, I consider the car driving good, but you do have to put some muscle in when turning while parking. It is not power, it is heavy steering! The only parts we put on the suspention was new shocks front and rear.

HOW IS THE REAR-END? Its a tuff 9 inch Ford, its lower than the factory 3:50. I will check the ratio today, its great for power, but makes the engine turn more RPMs and the speedometer reads fast.

BOTTOM LINE: The is not a new car, I did spend lots of money and made it nice. If you want perfect, keep looking, this is a super nice driver. Its looks good, it runs good and things work! Please come look and inspect the car, I think you will be happy unless your looking for a $100,000 for a bargain price. Please look at other real Mach 1 for sale, mine is priced very good. I will not trade for anything, so plese don't ask. I will sell direct, I reserver the right to stop the listing at any time. Please! Please! Please! Come look and be happy.

WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303.
