1989 Ford E-Series Van 4x4 Additional Info:

I am selling our 1989 Ford E-350 Quigley 4x4 Van, with Bivouac Interior Conversion (aka "Big Red"). We purchased her used in 1996 & are the second owners. This van was never smoked in. She has taken us on many Awesome trips and I believe that she is just waiting for the right person to give her a Fix-up and some TLC to bring her back to her Glory Days so she can continue her travels! (I had not let my husband sell her when we purchased our Excursion...I figured that when we had the chance, we would put some time into her. But, with raising a family, etc, we have not had the time and she has sadly sat for 4 years. I reluctantly realize that I need to sell her.
The van did run prior to parking it, but like I said...It has been 4 years.
I have never sold a vehicle before, so I have taken MANY pictures of what I think you would want to see. If I've missed something, please ask. I am selling this vehicle As Is and have tried my best to show everything in the pictures. EBAY has limited me to Only 24 pictures :, so I had to be selective! ... I have many more I would Love to share. So please ask if you'd like to see something specific. thx.
There are three NEW parts for the van that we purchased but never got around to installing. 1) A New rear Gas Tank, 2) A New Gibson Muffler, 3) New Blower Motor & Squirrel Cages for rear AC & Heat. (There is also a spare New Re-manufacturer Alternator which will come with the van.) & Had a brand new Radiator, Water Pump, and Hoses installed couple months prior to parking van.
Just a few things I've loved about Big Red :)...~ With the touch of a button, the bench in the back goes down to a very comfy bed. Great when traveling!~ The middle Captain Chairs pop-out if you want some large open floor space. (We've also used this feature sometimes when traveling.)~ The Dual gas tanks which holds a total of 38 gallons (22 gal & 16 gal tank)!~ On the inside ceiling edges there are what I think you would call mood lighting.(?) They are cool to turn on in the evenings.~ A radio/CD player that is controlled by a remote.~ On the back of all the Captain Chairs are trays that you can let down to hold your drinks, like in an airplane.~ The 4 Wheel Drive in the winter is AWESOME!~ I love the front bumper license plate that converts to a step so I can clean the windshield! (This van is high! :D )~ There are lockable hiding compartments under the driver & passenger seats! ...They've come in handy when traveling also!~ My husband has said many times that the PullRite Hitch on this van is the BEST he has ever towed with!~ The window shades are so nice to pull-down for privacy. (At one point, I did re-string the shades. I think the ones on the back doors need to be looked at. ? )~ I Love that it doesn't have the bumped up Conversion Roof Top! You don't see many like this. Sporty!~ The 2 individual Sun Roofs over the Driver and Passanger seats! (They also are removeable!)
Through the years my husband has always kept up on the preventive maintenance of the van and made sure it was always in good running order for our trips.
A few more Van details:~ Motor & Transmission were rebuilt in August 1999 & Rear was rebuilt in August 2002.~ Has 16" American Racing Wheels - Good Condition~ All PullRite Hitch Parts are Included: Draw Bar, Weight Distribution Spring Bars (1,000 lbs), Trailer Frame Brackets.~ Has a car alarm and a remote start, not sure how they are currently working.~ Have all original Paperwork for 4x4 and Interior Conversions, along with many other manuals - Please see pictures. (I was limited on pics here, so I have more to show)
To the best of my knowledge, these are the flaws with this vehicle: Straight Crack in Windshield (about 18in, 1/3 down from top), AC does not work-Needs Freon, Driver's side power window does not work, Driver's seat base is loose, New rear Heat/AC blower motor needs to be installed (item INCLUDED),Gibson Muffler needs to be installed (item INCLUDED), Rear gas tank needs to be installed (item INCLUDED), Multiple areas of rust on body, passenger seat seam opened up 2in.-needs repair. Rear speakers need to be replaced .~ Speedometer/Odometer cable is broken, therefore exact mileage can now only be estimated. (As of our last registration, I believe it was registered with approximately 155,000 miles.)
This would be a great project for a 4x4 or a Van Enthusiast!! :D
PLEASESEE ALL PICTURES and ASK ALL QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS.
The vehicle is located in Bucks County, PA. The Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick-up. The Van does start, but will need to be trailered or towed from location, due to the length of time it has been out of service. (It does not have an up to date inspection.)
Well.... I hope I have covered all of the important stuff.
I'm sure that BIG RED will bring many fun excursions to her next owner. :)
GOOD LUCK BIDDING!
