Beautiful 1971 Torino GT Convertible. I purchased this car with the intent to finish the restoration and be my wife and i's summer car show car. With a little one on the way in FebruaryI had to chose between this or themotorcycleand I unfortunatelychose the motorcycle. The paint is not perfect and from the original owners pictures thatI have of the car, the car looks to have been repainted sometime in the 1970's. This is a fun car and I wouldn't be afraid to take it anywhere, not a show car but a great looking one withnot much left to do to restore it. Has a recently rebuilt transmission(Sept. 2016)and I do have the paperwork to prove it with the warranty.
The previous owner installed a new exhaust system that sounds fantastic and the engine runs very strong. The front end has been completely rebuilt with new components and drives great down the road. New shocks in the rear, new seats, new carpet, new floor mats. I rewired the stereo to use the original speaker slot in the dash with an upgraded vintage dual voice coil speaker. The speakers in door do not work any more as I purchased the correct vermillion red door skins to replace them, but never got the chance to have them put in. Below I will list the parts list I have for the car to finish the restoration.
-New in box front and rear doorskins in vermillion red which include the rear convertible armrests
-New front and rear body valances
-OEM quarter panel and rear trunk lid emblems
-The original compressor for the factoryA/C system thatI have not had rebuilt yet.(was considering converting to r-134 system)
-Window felt for the frontdriver/passenger side door
-New in boxdriver door mirror adjustment knob
This parts list is very hard to find and had to search for quite some time to find as there were only 1600 of this particular car ever built. I did order a Marti Report and will go with the car. If the report arrives before the end of the auction I will post the findings.
*All parts go with the car at the time of sale. If you would like pictures of the parts please ask as I have them organized and labeled on shelves in my shop. I also have a spare rim that needs restored that matches the mags with car I'd be willing to throw in with the car if the buyer would like.
This is a great driving and reliable car as is and would need very little to finish the restoration and make it show stopper. Not many of these left in this good of condition.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. Vehicle is for sale locally, seller reserves the right to end theauction early.
