Up for your reviewand auction is a Old School Hot Rod, built to look like a late 1940's Rod / barn find. This is a 1926 Ford Turing on its 26 frame, with 1938 Ford running gear. The frame is powder coated black with suicide 38 front axle, split wishbones, old style lever shocks and newly rebuilt 1940 ford brakes. The rear endis the 38 Ford banjo with Speedway's shortened spring,tube style shocks, also new 1940 ford brakes and shortened drive line. We used the 1938 16"wheels with the wide 5 bolt patternthathave beenpowder coated,and a nice set of original hub caps for the look.Model A steering Colum and boxturn the car and the original A style wiring harness is the electrical.The Engine is a 1941 pickup with new stainless valves, adjustable lifters, Hot Rod camshaft and a Fenton aluminum intake with two hard to find 48 Carbs. Thegood truck A style heads havebeen shaved for more performance and a new Mallory Distributor with red see thou ignition wiresadds the spark. 6Volt alternator keeps it charged and battery shut off switch is under thefront seat.fuel is supplied with electric pump through the cool red fuel lines. Speedwaycenter dumpheaders with custom bell tub exhaustadd to the Hot Rod look.New aluminumradiator with electric fan, and new Drake water pumps,keeps it cool.It has the original nickeled grill shell. A new clutch and presser plate,link the engine to the 1938 transmission, with early Hudson shift knoband1940 Ford pedal assembly with new master cylinder are at your feet. The body has the old used look inPPG satin black paint.Nice original windshield stanches and frame were used with new glass.A very old spot light attaches to the windshield frame and it has a mirror onits back side. (very cool) Steel floor pans front and rear, replace the wood floors for a more clean look. New wood body blocks and new upholstery wood has also been installed. A old time Clamshell tail light / stop light is mounted on the back of the body and it also has tail lights on each side lower body. Head lights are original 1926 Model T. A third light up front adds to the old time look, and a very old cat's-eye license plate reflector is on the fire wall for added cool.Upholstery is a new kit with new springs, seat upholstery, door panels, kick panels andside panels, installed by Franks upholstery.This car was built to look like a 1940's style Hot Rod and it looks the part. This car would be perfect for the gentlemen's racing. We have a good Washington title and it is titled as a 1926 Ford. This is a new build with under 100 miles on the car.
