Okay, after selling our 1986 Ford EXP, 1984 Chrysler LeBaron Mark Cross Edition Woodie Convertible and 612hp, 1986 Lincoln LSC Mark VII with nitrous, we are officially specializing in strange. You can even check us out under mlive.com and type in "specializing in strange," to see our fledging bizarro business created by two old retired guys that just love oddball cars. We also specialize in reliable and affordable, as the fine gentleman who bought the LeBaron for $3,500 (over 15K was invested in the car), flew in from TX to MI and drove the car back home. It's like having an adventure in a time machine and this Ford Granada is no exception. Yes, you may see a 70 Plymouth Superbird with a 440 Six Pack, or a 69 Cyclone GT with a 428 Cobra Jet, or even the Ford EXP I just sold with the mighty 1.6L 4 banger, but you'll ostensibly be the only 1982 Granada Station Wagon owner at next year's Woodward Dream Cruise for SURE!!! The Woodward Dream Cruise is the largest automotive spectacle in the world and I'm fortunate to only live 10 miles away from the epicenter of weeklong takeover of the 14 mile stretch of road. They only made this second generation Granada in 1981 and 1982 with low production numbers. This one only has 23,875 original miles and I found the original build sheet in the back lock box. While not a perfect trailer queen, my Granada Wagon is in excellent shape with a solid body and undercarriage and near perfect interior. She'll float down Woodward like a dream cruiser with head-turning aplomb amongst the crowd gathered for motorhead Heaven! You'll be that slice of Heaven that everyone dreams of at the Dream Cruise. Too much? As a sultry, albeit anorexic, singer Karen Carpenter once cantillated... it's only just begun! She really does start, stop, shift and tack down the road like a new wagon and all you have to do is navigate your cruiser with the the handy dandy hood ornament. I bought it from an estate of the original owner who donated the car and sold it at auction. After the purchase, I had the car inspected and found that it needed a new brake booster and heater core. Now she stops on a dime and has heat out the defrost and floor (vent door must be stuck). In any case, you won't find this rarified piece of automotive history anywhere else in the country with such low miles and unmolested by a family of little ice cream eating monsters whose sole purpose is to tear an interior to shreds. Come see it for yourself by calling me (Tom) at 313-805-4265 or Peder at 313-729-3671 and we'll set up a time for you to go back in time in a timely manner. Or, feel free to have the car inspected, as we want to ensure that you're satisfied with the purchase. We're building a fine reputation, as you can see from our 29 all positive feedbacks, as well as my personal eBay account under "smileylinc," which has over 2,400 all positive comments over the decades of membership. Please keep in mind that this is a no reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the vehicle. If you make a bid, I'll assume that you've already kicked the tires, asked the significant other and have funds available. Also, ask any and all questions before making a bid, as I want to make sure you know everything you need to before making your decision.Feel free to have the car inspected or come by to take it for a test drive. I do reserve the right to end the auction early, as the car is for sale locally. The buyer will be responsible for having the car shipped, but I'll be happy to pick you up at Detroit Metropolitan Airport if you want to fly in and drive her home. A nonrefundable $500 deposit will be due via Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment in the form ofclearedcertified check, Paypal or cash in person by 3 days with no exceptions. Lastly, don't worry about us sticking you with extra processing fees, paperwork costs and other bloated additions to the cost of the Granada. If you live in Michigan, we can transfer the title, plate and registration and can even give you a temporary plate to take her home... all you pay is what the State of Michigan requires, but not a penny more from us. If you're from out of state, we'll sign over the title and you can transfer everything over in your state. If you're from out of the country, contact me before you bid, as the only item I've shipped overseas was a Studebaker motor and that was a hassle! Thank you! |
