1931 Ford Model A Additional Info:
Brought from North Carolina to Connecticut in 2008, this car has been described as a 1931 Briggs bodied, restored Model A Delux Town Sedan. The restoration was performed by an owner/mechanic some years ago with obvious attention to detail. The car features rare dual side spare tire mounts, cowl mounted parking lights, a beautifully restored trunk rack, correct brown mohair upholstery and correct mahogany moldings. No rips, tears or stains.
Mechanically the car is sound and reliable. Recent brake adjustment. It starts and runs instantly, and is started regularly year round. There is a functioning Ford thermometer on the radiator. Shifting is positive with no slippage in clutch.
The paint scheme is a brown/burgundy color, black fenders and red pinstripe. The wire wheels are red. The roof rubber is in very good condition. There is slight dimpling/possible corrosion in the bottom of one or two doors, beneath the paint - been there for years. Engine paint looks to be original. All lights work. Speedometer does not work. Books and manuals, Model A spring compression tool (used to replace rubber donuts) and break adj. tool included. Stored on blocks in large barn with concrete floor with interior covered, exterior covered, and electronic rodent repelling device enabled.
Collecting has turned to John Deere tractors for the owner. This car should be driven regularly and enjoyed with little needing to be done other than regular maintenance. Will only sell to buyer who visits to see, hear and drive car on our property prior to sale. Actual VIN given to buyer - temp VIN placed in this advertisement.
