1974 Ford F-350 XLT Additional Info:
I am offering my 1974 F-350 SCS Ranger XLT for auction due to the fact I have no room to store it. It is a nice old original west coast farm truck I received as payment from my brother for some work I had done for him. I have since down sized my living space and no longer have a shop or the means to store the truck until I can restore it. I have other more important things I need to do first. The truck is original my brother bought from the original family in Washington state. The truck needs to be restored the paint is tired faded and has chips and scratches. They did undercoat the truck so the body and bed are solid there is some rusting around the front wind shield no holes though. The old farmer kinked the passenger front fender and bumper no damage to radiator support or frame it does need a heater core they sent a new one but it is aluminum and will not work with the copper radiator. They disconnected the AC and removed the pump I have an extra one I can include also the grill shell was damaged I have a another XLT grill shell I can include. The engine does not smoke or leak oil but the oil pump is getting weak even after changing the oil. Trans mission shifts fine but rear seal leaks after it is sitting for a while when it is run everyday it does not leak. The good new brake pads and shoes installed along with the rear drums some new brake line was installed for the rear brakes a new Edelbrock 4 barrel intake and carburetor and linkage were installed along with fuel line from pump to carb the radiator was service and new thermostat installed. After market allow wheels with tires were added they are 16" x 10 instead of the 16.5. The interior is all there with original dash seats and carpet along with the headliner door panels and cargo pockets while they are not abused they do show their age the seat is not ripped or torn nor is the headliner. The carpet is faded but in tact and everything works on the inside of cab. This is to rare of a truck to allow to sit in the weather and rust away here in Missouri because we use salt here I would rather someone else have it rather than see it get ruined. There were less than 2400 Super Camper Specials made from 1973 to 1976 less than 850 were produced per year making this the least yearly produced truck for the public. The engine is strong I have pulled my heavy duty trailer with it and used it to move to our new home it drives very good and is tight with new shocks in front along with radious arm bushings. The reserve is low on this truck and it is well worth it and I wish all you happy bidding.
