This mean looking 1966 Ford Econoline E100 Pickup is for sale in our Orlando Showroom. These original E-Series flat nose trucks were only built from 1961-1967. The Econoline Pickup is a design that strived to be both compact and yet provide ample cargo space to best the Chevrolet Greenbrier and Volkswagen Type 2. A total of 52,121 pickups were produced (3,040 in 1966). This 1966 example, known as the Scorcher has been meticulously restored less than 3 years ago and modified to be a comfortable, eye catching cruiser that also provides utility for your bike or other cargo. The 7.5 foot bed has been reinforced, smoothed and pop-anchors added. The power plant on this pickup is a rebuilt period correct Ford 200 cubic inch 3.0 liter inline 6 (upgraded from 170 CI, 2.8L) with a mild cam to give it just the right amount of edge. Performance parts boosting the ponies on this smooth running drive train include a Weber 2 barrel carb, Davis Unified Ignition performance distributor with Inferno 2 coil, Hot Jet coated Clifford performance header, and 2 inch Flowmaster HP2 exhaust. All that power is sent through a rebuilt Ford C4 transmission with a shift kit to a Ford 9 inch rear end with 3.00:1 gears. The ride, handling and stance has been improved with a new leaf spring fabrication with a slight de-arch (2" front 1" rear), KYB shocks, and new urethane sway bar bushings. The 15 inch Rocket Racing wheels wrapped with redlines push this rod's classic influences to the next level. Stopping power is handled by a D&D front disc brake conversion with addition of a dual master cylinder and drum brakes in the rear. The interior has been completely redone with SCAT Enterprises ProCar-Pro90 seats upholstered in beautiful red leather which carries over to the engine cover and door panels all with custom designed quilting and stitching. Tastefully accenting the leather is red nylon carpeting and a silver suede headliner and upper cab. The body work and paint is what really sells this truck with a custom two tone/flame design finished in PPG Deltron Grade Brilliant Silver, Custom Scorcher Red and Black. So much more has been done to this pickup that there is too much to list and with only 7,173 miles since this exhaustive restoration and customization, it's got a lifetime of car shows, cruises and road trips ahead!
